St. Catherine was a princess in Egypt in the 3rd century and received a good education. Though raised as a pagan, when she was a teenager she claimed that the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to her, told her that she had been wed to Christ in a mystical marriage, and she was converted to the Christian faith.

wed to Christ in a mystical marriage???

amazing the deceptions catholics believe.

That headline just screams “blasphemy here”

If he was serious, but he was probably just joking because of the things being said about him.

There are MANY people alive today who witnessed Christ acting through Padre Pio!!

Matthew 24:24
“For false christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect...

Both St. Augustine (of Hippo) and St. Thomas Aquinas are reputed to have been capable of self-powered flight or levitation as well.

I knew a man who could fly, I believe it was in the early 60s, I never saw him fly but they called him the flying nun so I knew that he could.

I have personally witnessed and been involved in an actual miracle...and no it wasn’t some idiot TV preacher...

It wasn’t the person who had superpowers it was the hand of God answering prayers of his people...my prayer...

A physical manifestation of God making my daughter club foot whole...

And no I don’t expect to to be made a saint because of it...

All I really need to know about the Catholic Church is that pope of yours has decided he might decide to cross the Mexican border in solidarity with illegal aliens. Anyone who respects this pope, has no business calling themselves a Freeper.

Just for an example - I did search on Lourdes miracle French doctor. Got this:

I do not deny miracles as I have saw them, I just do not put any trust in the super powers stories.

“...headline screams blasphemy...”

Why? Holy people in the bible had special powers - look at Moses ...

The new testament doesn’t mention that these people in the old testament were blaspheming ... There is no biblical proof that holy people having special powers is now considered blasphemy.

Looking for a platform I see.

Not interested in hocus pocus ...especially Lourdes...for obvious reaons. Manufactured evidence convinces no one who who investigates beyond “witnesses” rather accepts truth over fiction.

The so called "saints' had the super powers ey?

>>he could bring people back from the dead<<

Not in Jesus name but giving credit to the man!! Wow!

John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Not once in any of those accounts is the glory given to Christ. All the glory was given to those fallible humans. Typical of the Catholic Church and typical of paganism.

>>Padre Pio said: “Oh, no! I have a picture of Padre Pio!”<<

Pure idolatry.

BTW....UFO rings have lots of "witnesses" as well as pictures....until they are fully investigated and proven as NOT what they're first "believed" or /and "appear" to be...

No, I'm not. It does sound as if you are though, or maybe you just believe everything at face value instead of demanding evidence. Not to worry, it's a common problem that is fixable.

Anyone who has evidence of a miracle should go claim their prize:

>>People who want to ignore the Catholic Church simply have to keep themselves ignorant of the lives of the saints.<<

2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

We are to test the spirits to see if they are from God. If they do not give glory to Christ it's not from God. This entire article gives credit to those so called "saints".

“according to Scripture, all saved people are saints...”

According to the Catholic Church, all saved people are saints.

Miracles are not wrought except by the saints, since it is proof of their holiness that miracles are wrought during their lifetime or after death, either by themselves or by others. St. Thomas Aquinas Summa

See Acts; 19:11 12

St. Thomas Aquinas ora pro nobis

>>Miracles are not wrought except by the saints<<

What an ignorant lack of scriptural knowledge.

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
