I choose to embrace our commonality while RESPECTING OUR DIFFERENCES. We differ on the truth of Transsubstiation.

That's the problem.  If transubstantiation is wrong, and it is, then people are being induced in its name to give divine worship to a man-made wafer.  That's idolatry.  We can never just agree to disagree on the official embrace of idolatry by any institution claiming to be Christian. Silence is consent. We can't consent to this grave distortion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If someone knows to do good, and doesn't do it, it becomes a sin of omission to them. So as long as this false doctrine is proclaimed here, we have no moral alternative but to stand against it.

But be assured, and I believe I speak for all of us who are evangelical, this is not personal.  We do not hate people.  We hate idolatry.  We do not mock sincere religionists who are following false teaching.  We only seek to expose the false teaching for what it is.  I for my part would rather be writing happy little stories for my granddaughter to read someday when I'm no longer here.  I don't enjoy conflict.  But here we are.  It is what it is.  Someday the conflict will be over.  We can all look forward to that.

Peace,

SR

NO, IT IS NOT.

It is the Center of or Faith and worship. If you are worried about idolatry and such, I applaud you. You can find it elsewhere and fight it there. We would be with you. But the Eucharist is NOT a negotiable issue. It (or rather He) is Jesus, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.

Thank you again for your kind reply, I appreciate the courtesy, but look to the Wiccans, Muslims, or a forum elsewhere with Satanists. We'll fight alongside you to try and change their minds, just as many faiths united recently in the March for Life. But you'll not change mine.

I, too hate conflict. But I'll stand in front of an abortuary with you; pray with you against the Satanists; and I pray to God that I'll persevere if some Muslim extremist wants to decapitate me because of the Crucifix I wear. I will not deny the Real Presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament! God bless you in your endeavors; may we meet some day in Heaven!
