“Saints” of the Protestant church?

Jimmy Swaggart
Jim Bakker
Tammy Fae Bakker
Aimee Simple McPherson
Jim Jones
Robert Schuller (and dysfunctional family)
Paul Crouch
Jan Crouch
Joel Osteen
Jesse Jackson, Jr.
Al Sharpton
Joyce Meyer
Benny Hinn
Robert Tilton
Mary Baker Eddy
Ellen White
etc....

Didn’t they all preach in the name of Jesus?

(Just speaking His name doesn’t grant them entry to the kingdom of heaven)

Scripture tells us to judge hiho. Scripture tells us to test the spirits whether they are from God. If we don’t we will fall for the false teachers and false prophets.

So you're claiming that the Catholic Church is just like all those on that list? Or where you trying to claim that it isn't important to focus on Jesus alone? Were you agreeing that the Catholic Church just like those on that list simply use the name of Jesus for their own purposes? I'm not sure what you were trying to get at.

From your comments I'm sensing you know little of what scripture says. For instance, scripture tells us that all believers are saints. Not just some self proclaimed imposter.

Quickly (I need to go to work), if you judge Protestants by this list of “leaders” then your judgment would and should be harsh. We have all failed (miserably) there is no truth in any of us.

I used to know all the answers (anti-Catholic too), but through many failings and associations with other Christians (Protestants and Catholics), I have realized the folly of my self-righteousness.

That's what happens when you put your faith in man. The likelihood that they will fail you is high.

>>I have realized the folly of my self-righteousness.<<

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
