“Man cannot become God, but God can become Man if He chooses (and He did)”
That’s a Greek/pagan belief, not a Jewish one.
Oh but it was a Jewish belief.
Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
The Jewish God (Christ was a practicing Jew) certainly believed He was God and Man. I do as well. I worship the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob just as you do. I just worship Him as completely revealed in Christ
In addition the plural form of God in the OT followed by a singular verb makes perfect sense. God is 3 in one. 3 Persons, one God acting in perfect unity and singular purpose.
Answer this. If God is Love, who did He love prior to creation? God exists as 3 persons sharing love between each person of the Godhead, and needed nothing or no one else.
We do not and may never understand the Trinity and the Being of God entirely. But I believe a lot of things I cannot myself understand. I bear no animosity to my Jewish brethren. How could I when Christ is a jew? But I pray and long for the Jewish remnant to come to a saving knowledge of Christ. Out of love and concern, nothing else. Please do not misunderstand the Christian point of view and discourse with you - we wish only your greatest good out of love, and I hope you can understand that even if you think its misguided.
