This article caught my eye--Six Ways Mormons Can Enjoy the Spirit of Lent. Why would Mormons want anything to do with Lent?--something Mormons have historically associated with paganism creeping into the church shortly after the age of the apostles. Well, if American evangelicals are now attracted to such things, Mormons will do the same.
Notice the way in which the author of this essay (Kelsey Berteaux) explains how easily the Lenten season can be made to fit right in with Mormon notions of works-righteousness ("grace coupled with obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel") . . .
Though Latter-day Saints don’t observe the traditions of Lent, we can always learn a thing or two from it as we search for things that are of good report and praiseworthy. After all, we can always use a reminder to be better and have a more meaningful Easter.
Lent is well-known as a time to sacrifice. For the next 40 days (plus Sundays, which aren’t counted as part of the 40-day Lent tradition), make a “negative” change by resolving to take something bad out of your life. You could try giving up a TV program, excessive social media use, bad music, junk food, or something else you struggle with.
Here is the part that really jumped out . . . A citation from the Book of Mormon is actually adduced to support the practice.
The idea behind this tradition is captured beautifully in the words of Lamoni’s father:
“I will give away all my sins to know thee, and that I may be raised from the dead, and be saved at the last day” (Alma 22:18).
There are other ways Lent can be co-opted by Mormons.
As with LDS fasting, traditional Lent followers donate the money saved from eating a sacrifice meal to the poor and needy. Consider donating the money you saved to fast offerings along with your normal monthly donation.
During Lent, incorporate the color purple into your life in some small way. Consider putting out a purple table runner, buying purple flowers, or hanging a purple picture in your home. Then, every time you see the item (or any other purple item you encounter during your day), think back on the Savior and His sacrifice on your behalf. Also remember the commitments you’ve made as part of your Lent celebration.
The point of observing Lent—however you decide to do it—is to find more meaning in the Easter season and draw closer to Christ. The best, and perhaps simplest thing you can do is resolve to learn more about our Savior and His sacrifice.
The pressing issue here, of course, is that the Mormon "Christ" is none other than the spirit-brother of Lucifer, who was raised by the Father--who, in Mormon theology, is also a glorified, immortal, and resurrected man.
Since Mormonism consistently seeks to masquerade as a "Christian" denomination, well then, if the evangelicals are interested in Lent, Mormons need to be as well. Got to keep up with the Jones' you know.

Where is you Scripture proof for the three person Catholic Trinity?In the Great Commission, Jesus tells the apostles to Baptize in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit THEN what do they do in Acts? EACH TIME, they Baptize in the name of Jesus Christ! There is your Scriptural proof of how the Lord was understood!
And, could you imagine the apostles and disciples at the time convincing a Jew or anyone else something other than monotheism?

That is not the meaning of "person" that I used, and obviously the Nicene Christians did not consider Christ to be merely a "mask." They were fighting against the Arians. You would be better off not taking Swedenborgian definitions and imposing them on the scripture.
Great way to cook up doctrine.
Mask is in any dictionary for persona... even Catholics will start to run when pressed for meaning.
And, persona or person does not come from Scripture - only the creeds!
What does it matter? How else do you understand the verse: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." You cannot argue Christ is a "mask," and thus not distinct from the Father, when the scripture clearly teaches that He is. He prays to the Father, is called "Almighty," and yet is God at the same time. Either we understand it as the Word being both with God and being God, or we come up with polytheism or the heresy of modalism, both of which are easily refuted by the scripture.
The word "person" doesn't actually occur in the creed, but the word the fathers used in Greek is either /prosopon/ or /hypostasis/. The word prosopon can mean mask, or just face, or the visible outward manifestation of a being.
This is contrasted with "ousia," which is the underlying deeper reality or nature.
The doctrine of the Trinity is simply that God is one ousia and three hypostases/prosopa. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each totally God from all eternity, but they are still distinct in their personhood. The Athanasian creed said that the Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God, but there are not three gods but one God. The Father is not the Son, the Son is not the Spirit, and the Spirit is not the Father.
God is therefore One, and is at the same time an eternal community of perfect love.
Luke 24:44 Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” 45 And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.
It's not about people. In the afterlife or spiritual world, you are no longer a person, but a spirit and the Lord is God.

I know what you're thinking but this is really fun with my tongue planted firmly in cheek. Besides serious vocalists are scarce in this region.
It certainly does not. It is saying "the Word" (which is Christ, John 1:14), was with God and was God, and that this was the case from the beginning. This same Word then created everything. It is not talking "all of scripture is about the Lord."
