Revelation 13 speaks of an unholy trinity that will break His 1st four Commandments and cause the world to do the same..
Those first four commandments deal with worship..
Maybe the Sabbath is a little more important than Christians have been taught..
I too felt like you when I was a protestant.. now, I understand His Sabbath is eternal..
Just like His other commandments..
Christendom today hits all the wrong marks in revelation 13..
To bad the Hebrew roots people don’t understand that Revelation deals with the people of Israel as a nation after the ekklesia of Christ has been taken away. It’s called the time of Jacob’s trouble for a reason.
So which one of the march days was His Sabbath?
Which one does your rabbi teach?
The book of jasher with the book of Ezekiel shows no Sabbath was violated on any of those 7 days..
Your answer seems rabbinical.
That misunderstanding of prophesy will not serve you well.
Well, that means that you dont believe God when He says SIX DAYS?
Ex 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Ex 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Ex 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the Lord thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
Ex 20:11 For [in] six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
You and God need to have a talk...
No room for a Jesus to the gentiles for you.
Get over it ,, there are MANY instances of alliteration and storytelling in the Bible ,, doesn’t make the stories false,, Jesus himself spoke in parables to tell stories ,, what was in the parables is truth but the story itself is made up...
What part of the logic I presented is not making sense to you? Can you tell me how you measure in “days” when the story is about the formation of the universe and the creation of the arbiter of the time period called a “day” and assumed to be an Earth day (the single full rotation of the Earth) is created late in the story? You cannot measure with something that doesn’t yet exist and is undefined... Gods “days” are not our days... it’s that simple.
You can’t be that wedded to illogic. I don’t argue with crazy , so this is my last reply on the subject.
The Bible is history, written at the direction of the Holy Spirit. It isn’t a (human) science book because having people know and understand His creation wasn’t and isn’t God’s purpose for it, like it wasn’t and isn’t the purpose for our existence either. It does speak to human science, though. God is over nature, not the other way around. As such, “the evidence” around us of what’s happened in the past going back to Creation may or may not accurately suggest what actually happened, and that’s according to science, which also has its limitations and distortions.
” You cannot measure with something that doesnt yet exist and is undefined... Gods days are not our days... its that simple.”
Didn’t days already exist in God’s mind before He created the sun?
And the Genesis account is history, not figure of speech. To make it into metaphor would be to make much of the Bible inconsistent and unreliable, including its genealogies.
