Your Saint Ignatius is also dead, along with Mary and all the rest of the Catholic “Saints”! The Roman Catholic cult is based on a corruption of the Word of God, which surely has fooled may over time. That is exactly what Satan desires. “Did God Say ?”
This is an illogical reply. The point you challenged is that there is no real presence, and belief is equivalent to the Easter Bunny. Pointing out St Ignatius is dead really doesn't advance anything, other than continue general bombastic and unproductive dialog. I would think that someone who studied around the time St John was writing would have some insight you don't have. Perhaps not. As for the rest, we are speaking of John 9 - where Our Blessed Lord spoke of eating his flesh, and when confronted by the disciples and others to retract and clarify, he did not. Indeed, he reiterated his position - and after wards almost all of his disciples left Him. If you want to throw out name calls, fine, but I think if you take a look you will see the earliest Christians all believed in the Real Presence, and comparing to belief in the Easter Bunny and saying anyone who believes in it is a product of Satan is wrong.
All that typing and still Catholics believe that Jesus sinned by eating blood and causing others to do so. A Jesus that sinned couldn’t have saved anyone.
22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, 23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God, the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, 24 to Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.
25 See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven? 26 At that time his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens. 27 The words once more indicate the removing of what can be shakenthat is, created thingsso that what cannot be shaken may remain.
28 Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, 29 for our God is a consuming fire.
