FRANCIS BISHOP OF ROME SERVANT OF THE SERVANTS OF GOD
TO ALL WHO READ THIS LETTER GRACE, MERCY, AND PEACE

What a joke.
So, basically, Francis believes that the Catholic Church had been doing it all wrong before Vatican II. In other words, Vatican II is the best thing since sliced bread.
And most Catholics will agree with him.
God help us.
Can’t leave out the Muslims now can we?
If Obama had a brother.
He probably thought these pre-Vatican II Neanderthal Catholics discriminated against the "noble" religion of Mohammed (Pope Eugene IV, Pope Callixtus III, Pope Pius II, Pope Leo X, Pope Clement V, Pope Benedict XIV, St Thomas Aquinas, St John of Damascus) :

The Salve Regina:
Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary!
V- Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God
R- That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
I see that the pope selectively quoted from St Thomas Aquinas’s Summa Theologica in Francis’ push for “mercy” over “the law”. This “Year of Mercy” is merely a set-up for the upcoming second Sin-Nod where Francis and the Germans will again push to give Holy Communion to unrepentent souls in the state of mortal sin.
Here’s another quote from St Thomas’s Summa that Francis cannot seem to comprehend:
“Since good as perceived by intellect is the object of the will, it is impossible for God to will anything but what His wisdom approves. This is, as it were, His law of justice, in accordance with which His will is right and just. Hence, what He does according to His will He does justly: as we do justly what we do according to law. But whereas law comes to us from some higher power, God is a law unto Himself.”
“What a joke.”
No joke.
23. There is an aspect of mercy that goes beyond the confines of the Church. It relates us to Judaism and Islam, both of which consider mercy to be one of Gods most important attributes. Israel was the first to receive this revelation which continues in history as the source of an inexhaustible richness meant to be shared with all mankind. As we have seen, the pages of the Old Testament are steeped in mercy, because they narrate the works that the Lord performed in favour of his people at the most trying moments of their history. Among the privileged names that Islam attributes to the Creator are Merciful and Kind. This invocation is often on the lips of faithful Muslims who feel themselves accompanied and sustained by mercy in their daily weakness. They too believe that no one can place a limit on divine mercy because its doors are always open.
You defend a joke with another joke:
"Israel was the first to receive this revelation which continues in history as the source of an inexhaustible richness meant to be shared with all mankind.
If Francis is so infatuated with this "inexhaustible richness" of Judaism, why doesn't he convert?
If he were a traditional Catholic, he would say that the richness was passed to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
Does Francis even believe that the Jews need to convert?
Re-read the sentence. The “inexhaustible richness” refers to the revelation, not to Judaism.
Do ANY bishops of the Catholic Church still believe the Jews (or anyone else) needs to convert? I mean besides the bishops of the SSPX...
I love rhetorical questions. Here is another:
Is the Pope Catholic?
The solemn petitions of Good Fridays liturgy specifically pray for it.
I'm beginning to wonder about myself... I don't think whatever Pope Francis is is what I am. I didn't convert to this whatever it is.
Let us pray for the Jewish people, the first to hear the word of God, that they may continue to grow in the love of his name and in faithfulness to his covenant. (Prayer in silence. Then the priest says:) Almighty and eternal God, long ago you gave your promise to Abraham and his posterity. Listen to your Church as we pray that the people you first made your own may arrive at the fullness of redemption. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
