Moscow, April 16, Interfax - Russian President Vladimir Putin said the situation in the Middle East for Christians is terrible and the international community is not taking enough steps to protect them.
"As to the Middle East and Christians, the situation is terrible. We have spoken about it many times and we believe that the international community is not doing enough to protect the Christian population of the Middle East," Putin told reporters.
He reiterated that Christians have lived in the Middle East for centuries and the place is the birthplace of Christianity. "It is sad that the international community now cannot defend people who need the protection of the international community," Putin said.
wow.. wouldn’t it be ironic if Russia turned out to be the hero of Christianity.
I wish our “leadership” was recognizing that.

Good God, how upside-down does the world have to be when Putin gets it about the plight of Christians in the mideast, yet America looks the other way?

As power hungry as Putin is every once in a while he comes down on the right side of an issue. There is something to measuring a man by the enemies he makes.
I pray he will do more than talk, those people need help. Other than the fact the POTUS is Islamic, I don’t know how anyone with the ability to stop the carnage can just sit back and watch.

Says the guy selling S-300 missiles to the ISLAMIC Republic of Iran.
His words are nothing but a calculated pile of lies manufactured for mass consumption.
I think Putin realizes that one of the reasons the Soviet Union failed was because of its’ belligerent stance on religion, it ultimately was a losing battle, now cynically, the Russians are going the other way....but the end goal is still the same.
