Primary school was told by bishops to distribute the material saying same-sex marriage messed with marriage and messed with kids, report claims
A Northern Territory Catholic school has reportedly sent children home with an anti same-sex marriage brochure.
St Pauls Catholic primary school, in the Darwin suburb of Nightcliff, was told to distribute the brochure on behalf of the Catholic Bishops of Australia conference, the NT News reported on Friday.
The brochure, entitled dont mess with marriage, outlined in detail the Catholic churchs opposition to same sex marriage, the report said, claiming it was a struggle for the very soul of marriage.
Released last month, it supported marriage as a vehicle to beget children and wrote: same-sex friendships are of a very different kind: to treat them as the same does a grave injustice to both kinds of friendship and ignores the particular values that real marriages serve.
It also said that messing with marriage was messing with kids, citing sociological research, as well as the long experience of Church and society.

homo males life expectancy is 42. why?
I thought it was ‘normal’ and ‘natural’... yet leads to premature death due to a life time of disease and unclean habits
gee. who would’ve thunk it
Good for them!
I hope they have the intestinal fortitude to stay the course!
I am guessing the the brochure was PRO traditional marriage not anti-Gay. It is a Catholic school.
I should hope that Catholic schools are teaching this
Where’s the problem, it’s a Catholic school!
Yep I don’t get it either. A Catholic school sends home information about their theology on marriage. Only a liberal or homosexual activists or media would say that this is anti gay, or demonstrates hatred of a homosexual.
Had my child NOT been educated that way on this bizarre subject, I’d have been really upset.....same sex marriage is an oxymoron and can’t possibly exist.
I think it is more disturbing that schools send kids home with condoms and in Australia they probably throw in porn and visits to the topless beach
Bravo, bishops that remember they are Catholic.
bkmk
This is truly a "Man Bites Dog" story.
I agree: What’s the problem? Are Catholic schools supposed to ignore Catholic doctrine and only send home anti-Catholic doctrine info?
It’s bad enough that public schools teach abnormal crap as the normal and powers that be would like even private religious schools to toe to the same queer line (un-politically correct comment intended).
Goes along with the same mindset of sex-ed and birth control information: Don’t you dare mention that if don’t have sex, you won’t get pregnant!
>>I thought it was normal and natural..
Nature selected Sex (genetic exchange between male and female) because it increases the fitness of species.
The mutual masturbation selected for worship by reprobate abominators of nature isn’t sex, or natural.
> I am guessing the the brochure was PRO traditional marriage not anti-Gay. It is a Catholic school.
That can’t be. Then there would be no victims...
you see, it’s only acceptable to send them home with PRO-gay marriage literature...
See how tolerant?
