Protestants worship God. I guess you don’t like that? What are you trying to say? Are you saying Protestants, meaning everyone not Catholic, are not Christians? Don’t beat around the bush, say what you mean directly. God doesn’t like cowardice in faith.

“He switched to a church denomination that mostly votes pro-abortion democrat.”

Yep. Catholics, primarily pro-abortion Democrats.

Use this guideline as a measure...

*It was founded by Jesus Christ Himself in Mt 16:18.

*It would be built on Simon Peter, Mt 16:18.

*It would be defended by GOD Himself, Mt 16:18-19.

*It would have authority given by Jesus Christ, Mt 16:19,18:17-18.

*It would be guided by the Holy Spirit who will dwell within it, Jn 14:15-17, Act 15:28,16:6.

*It would be one and undivided, Mk 3:24-25.

*It would have one fold and one shepherd, Jn 10:16.

*It would have Priests, Bishops, and Deacons, 1Tim 3:1-13.

*It must have the Holy Eucharist celebration, Jn 6:42-70, Acts 2:42.

*It must be found in all nations, Mt 28:19.

*It must be found in all centuries, Mt 28:20.

*Jesus Christ said He would be with His Church every day, in every year, until the end of the world,   Mt 28:20.

(This means no gaps in time.)

I wouldn’t recommend any religion. Get to know your Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. And you will never know Him apart from His Word. Religion, no matter what flavor you choose, can do little for you.

**In Luke 7:33-34 , God the Son drank wine..**

Neither Jesus Christ, nor his apostles EVER, I repeat EVER, used the phrase “God the Son”. Yet your church uses it all the time. Shows me that they really don’t know all that well who Jesus really is.

Are you Morgana of West Virginia, or West Virginia the Morgana?

**And Peter said to them, ‘Repent and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins;**

How come your church just repeats the titles in Matthew 28:19, instead of the NAME? Peter knew that the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost is JESUS. It’s the only name they used when they baptized.

The devil hates the name of Jesus, because it’s the only name under heaven given among men whereby souls are saved.

Magic thinking must be such a comfort to you. Jesus said ‘My Kingdom is not of this world’. The catholic church has proven itself so worldly over the centuries. And then there is the current pope! Need we show more proof?

Where is magic in that list? Those are all biblical quotes. Are you not believing in the Bible?

The magic, dear one, is that you fully believe the great lie that all that church arrangement is to establish an institution not a spiritual church. When Jesus comes and Raptures away His Real Church, look at the edifices which will be left behind, dripping with carnal fluffery which you have focused upon to worship. Then lift your eyes and spirit to God and beg Him to forgive you for turning His sacred into your sacrilege.

There are three important biblical images that come together to support the Catholic Church’s claims to papal authority.

The three images are rock, steward, and shepherd. These three images are found not just in one verse, but are rooted in the Old Testament and affirmed in the New. Like a strong, three-strand, braided rope, these three images of rock, steward, and shepherd provide a powerful interlocking and interdependent support for the authority Christ intended to leave with his Church on earth.

So the king holds the keys of the kingdom, but he delegates his power to the steward, and the keys of the kingdom are the symbol of this delegated authority. The keys not only opened all the doors, but they provided access to the store-houses and financial resources of the king. In addition, the keys of the kingdom were worn on a sash that was a ceremonial badge of office.

The passage from Isaiah 22: 21-22 and the customs all reveal that the role of the royal steward was an office given by the king, and that it was a successive office—the keys being handed to the next steward as a sign of the continuing delegated authority of the king himself

“1 Peter 5:13 - Some Protestants argue against the Papacy “by trying to prove Peter was never in Rome. First, this argument is irrelevant to whether Jesus instituted the Papacy. Secondly, this verse demonstrates that Peter was in fact in Rome. Peter writes from “Babylon” which was a code name for Rome during these days of persecution.”

Babylon in this passage refers not to Rome, but to the capital of Chaldaea. “Strongs: bab-oo-lone’Of Hebrew origin; Babylon, the capital of Chaldaea (literally or figuratively as a type of tyranny): - Babylon.”

The term Babylon wasn’t attached to Rome until Revelation which was written well after Peter’s death.

The differences I have with the RC denomination are not minor The RC puts many man made and in my opinion blasphemous barriers between the believer and Christ and blurs and obscures the simplicity of the Gospel

Examples of these barriers between the believer and Christ are:

seriously? ... it’s been almost a whole year since I last commented here and it’s crap like this that reminds me of why I hate organized religion so much.

All this our church is the right church, and you better get your butts up here or you aren’t going to make it in, so get with our program and pay up your penances.

Well ya know what?
We are the church. We are the living breathing, walking talking temples of God and wherever we go, our church goes with us.

No fancy garments, no ritzy rituals.
Just all of us coming before the throne of the Most High in the name of His Holy Son and with no one else standing in the way as we do it.

All these pompous circumstances to convince the masses you all got it exactly right, when our Lord and Saviour made His yoke so easy to become before our Holy Father.

Yet the vain imaginations conjured up by mankind try to get in His Way as we worship Him, in spirit, and in truth.

Please ... in the name of Christ Jesus/Yahushua ha Mashiach stop posting these attacks on the body of Christ just because they follow His Way, and not your churches ways.

Amen ... I rest my case, and maybe I’ll go away for another year to sort out why those who claim to be His, keep bullying those who claim the same.

Peter was a common fisherman. I would bet that his home had doors and perhaps an outer gate to enter the courtyard of the home. That would be typical for the times. Often these gates and doors had a rope binding to hold them closed. To open the gate one loosed the bindings. To close the gate or doorway you bound it again to its structure. Not all folks in the area had the money to afford brass or iron door handles.

You will likely poopoo that as you did in an earlier thread. But it is as valid a means to understand the binding and loosing as your fancy shmancy institutional explanation. It is ONLY meant to explain the concept of binding and loosing. Rope door-latches don't need keys and Peter was given 'the keys'.

I am in agreement that Peter the man was given the keys to open and close heavenly doorways. John saw one of the doors as he explained in Rev 4:1. Peter opened the doorway to the New Covenant established by Jesus with the Cross and resurrection and His blood on the altar poured out for us and spread on the Mercy Seat above the laws of sin and death. BTW, the New Covenant is not the cup or blood int he cup, it is God's Life in you, the hope of Glory.

Adding works to grace in order to be saved
Placing Mary and others between the believer and Christ
Adding all kinds of extra biblical teachings to exalt Mary and other saints taking the believers eyes off Christ
The blasphemy of calling any human “Holy Father” or vicar of Christ
Worshipping wafers and wine
Denial of Christs finished sacrifice for us and the resacrifice of Christ daily on all kinds of altars

And many more.....
