Bishop Thomas Tobin of Providence, Rhode Island, has offered his support for conscientious objection in response to the Supreme Court ruling that requires legal recognition of same-sex marriages.
Reacting to a statement by a country clerk in Texas, who said that she would refuse to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, Bishop Tobin said: Congratulations to Ms. Lang for her courageous stand! We need many more conscientious objectors- public officials, private businesses, advertisers, religious leaders, and family members- people of courage who will abide by their conscience, protect their religious rights, and not support or enable the furtherance of this moral aberration-- so called, same-sex marriage.

AMEN.
Good, but the knives are coming out in a few days. Catholics in particular will be targeted. Lawsuits over refusal to “marry” gays. Hate speech accusations over teaching that marriage is a man and a woman.
Then they will start teaching kids in school that gay “marriage” is perfectly normal.
Truth: marriage between a man and a woman is practiced in essentially all cultures in the world, including primitive. It it civilization’s way of ensuring that the male stays around to fulfill his responsibility towards the children. It is part of the natural order of things. Religion adopted the institution of marriage and moved it to a higher, spiritual, level. With Christianity it became a sacrament.
Gay “marriage” is against human nature. It violates the natural order.
“Then they will start teaching kids in school that gay marriage is perfectly normal.”
Correct. I had to connect the dots so a relative who was suckered by “live and let live” could see where this was headed (not that it will stop there...)
They have kids in school so it became personal.
