The real story behind the pope’s meeting with Kim Davis

This is what it sounds like when a pope gets mad.

On Friday, Vatican spokesman Father Federico Lombardi released an extraordinary statement, personally approved by Pope Francis, debunking nearly everything that has been reported this week about a meeting between the pope and Kim Davis, the Kentucky county clerk who has refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.

The private meeting between Davis, her husband, Joe, and the pope, which Davis’ attorney says took place at the Apostolic Nunciature (Vatican Embassy) in Washington, D.C. last Thursday? It didn’t happen. Instead, Davis was one of “several dozen persons who had been invited by the Nunciature to greet [Pope Francis] as he prepared to leave Washington for New York City,” Lombardi said in the statement.

The statement stressed that “the only real audience” — private meeting— “granted by the Pope at the Nunciature was with one of his former students and his family.” As CNN reported Friday afternoon, that student, Yayo Grassi, happens to be an openly gay man who brought along his partner of 19 years. “Three weeks before the trip, [Pope Francis] called me on the phone and said he would love to give me a hug,” Grassi told CNN.

The idea that Pope Francis has been following Kim Davis’ case and requested a meeting with her? (“I’m just a nobody,” Davis told ABC News after her lawyer began asserting that she had met privately with the pope. “It was really humbling to think he would want to meet or know me.”) Not so. Father Tom Rosica, who assists the Vatican press office with English-language media....

I am filing this with the Cam Newton vs. Ed Hockelay dispute.

Bottom line: The Pope was even more gutless and leftist on his trip than was previously thought. He didn’t show any support for the CATHOLIC TEACHING that the proper response to the attempted legalization of gay marriage is RESISTANCE. He DID show support for sodomy by instigating a meeting with a gay couple.

The fact that he is pushing the Global Warming Hoax proves that he is intellectually dishonest, and is abusing the authority of the papacy to push leftist, totalitarian government. The “sustainable” regulations will kill 100 million people per year.

Pray for a quick end of this dangerous, destructive papacy.

“Kim and Joe Davis were placed in a room with no one else present,” Liberty Counsel declares. “Later Pope Francis arrived with only Vatican or Embassy personnel and security.”

“He stretched out his hands,” the statement said. “Kim clasped his hands, and he asked her to pray for him. She said she would, and she asked the Pontiff to pray for her, to which he said he would.”

“Pope Francis then thanked Kim for her ‘courage’.” the statement added. “They embraced. The Pope said, ‘Stay strong.’ He then presented Kim and Joe with two rosaries. There was no line of people or other members of the public seen anywhere.”

Someone is not telling the truth about the meeting.

It sounds like the Vatican’s U.S. ambassador set up the meeting. How much the Pope or others knew about Davis beforehand is unclear. The way they are backtracking on the whole thing, you have to assume they either didn’t know about her whole story beforehand or that they hoped the meeting would be kept secret, and were just doing it as a favor to the ambassador. It sounds like the ambassador has been clear about his stance on marriage for a long time and has supported Davis, much clearer than the Pope has been.

Could this Pope destroy the Church? It almost seems as though he already has, insofar as he has subjugated himself in every particular to the prevailing political agenda. It surprises me, but maybe it shouldn’t. This has been in the cards for a while.

Why doesn’t the Pope just support her?

Maybe it was a hoax. Maybe it was really Father Guido Sarducci in that room. He's probably less of a fraud anyway.

Let me get this straight (no offense intended to the Pope): He denies the private meeting with Davis by affirming the only private meeting he had was with this Yahoo Grasshopper flamer? And the latter, a former student, is light in the loafers? That, to me, is the real story - that one of the Pope’s former student is in fact of the very class that God commanded eliminated from Israel.

The proper response is resistance? Doesn’t sound like the Pope. Besides, what do you resist? I think telling the truth about the sickness (and Satanic influence) of homosexuality, and expressing G-d’s disgust with homosexuality is what one should do.

Dennis Prager says the most dynamic religion in the world is leftism. I guess like some religions, people embrace it as the truth on blind faith without ever questioning it. And it spreads through peer pressure. When everyone else is telling you it’s true and also shaming you if you don’t change your opinion, more converts come into the flock.

It’s clear that the Pope has embraced and accepted leftism and is simply willing to pick and choose from the Bible or offer “selective enforcement” of God’s law in order to rationalize his leftist beliefs. Whatever the Pope thinks he is doing, he is most certainly in the process of replacing one religion with another. It’s a Reformation toward a leftist reinterpretation of theology. There are no clear brakes on where he might take things once the traditional scripture is ignored whenever it conflicts with the popular radical leftist views of the day.

Someone should tell the Pope that "all liars" go to the Lake of Fire.

Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

This pope is an asshole. The difference between this Leftist in a popes robes and a pope of the stature of John Paul the 2nd is just staggering.

Could it BE that the ambassador had it wrong, and was expecting this Pope to follow through in a more traditional manner. Then he did not, embarrassing all concerned.
