Do you have back up heating? I am all electric but have a wood burning insert in my fireplace. If really bad weather comes, I can cook and heat my house.

Here is E.TN we got an additional inch of the fluffy stuff over night. Of course the driveway was cleared yesterday evening and we ran errands. Now, not leaving the house for a bit. The warning says this will continue here until early Sunday. Feeding the birds and enjoying ‘the gentle blanket on the world’. Fortunately, with the flow of Gulf air our temps are expected to stay above single digits.
Just cooked breakfast on the wood stove. Heating and cooking tool.
Poached eggs, ground chicken, fresh frozen bell peppers from the garden last year and perfect toast.

Actually technically brunch, but with out mimosas it’s bkfast...

Almost as good as camping out!!
(I’ve had this strange urge to set up our tent in the yard and sleep in it.)

I did get a “new” tent for camping that I haven’t used yet.
Also have a camp stove always set up for cooking short time items when it a fire isn’t needed.

Camping out in a house...
Electric bill is now down to 1/4th of what it was.
