Can you forgive?

23 posted on 2/21/2016 2:01:28 by Salvation

Why are you asking?

Is it too much to think that Salvation is asking you to forgive her for her snarky comments to you and others?

Answering snark is not agitating.

Snark is agitating.

There is action there....not just the thought. Key words "with lust."

Your quote is not found in the post to which you replied.

Please be accurate when you "quote" something.

Don't change it to say what you want it to say, quote it accurately.

Especially when it pertains to scriptures from the Holy Bible.

I understand your point of view, but to my question, you are aware of the nature of Msgr. Pope posts, and the nature of those who enjoy them. How about letting people just enjoy them?

There are plenty of threads where vigorous theological debates are had, and point-counter point is expected. However, the Msgr. Pope threads are not that kind.

I enjoy his threads, too.

But this isn’t one of them.

Discuss the issues all you want but do not make it personal.

Hatred is wrong. It's equivalent to murder in God's sight.

Scripture bids us to hate evil.

Of course a person is free to comment on any non-caucus thread, but that wasn’t my point. Instead, a person can choose whether or not to post, and I was asking the logic in that person’s decision to do so, as well as asking for some restraint.

It is best to concentrate on the subject of the thread instead of on another poster.

Romans 7:5 For while we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.

So much for *passions are neutral.*

You want to ride the perverbial fence, but in the eyes of Holy God there are no fence riders. Fear is a lack of faith in God’s Grace, but that in itself is sinful. The article acts like any passion of the flesh is neutral because it’s all natural, but the passions of the flesh are exactly what born again Christians fight against every second of every day.

Matthew 26:41 King James Version (KJV)

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Ephesians 6:10-11 King James Version (KJV)

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Revelation 3:15-16 King James Version (KJV)

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Matthew 12:30 King James Version (KJV)

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

Because fear is a tool of Satan. No true believer should be walking around in fear because they have been told that it’s a neutral passion. Believe in God through Christ Jesus and dump that fear and live free and boldly go to the Throne of Grace!

Do you realize that we are under the Age of Grace right? Mercy puts you under the law and the law will condemn you! Grace on the other hand gives you mercy, love, and salvation. Quit living under the law and it’s slavery and be free with God’s wonderful saving Grace.

Romans 6:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
