My daughter Kelly has been in the hospital all week fighting a blood infection. She was moved to ICU today and put on a ventilator because of severe pneumonia. She is not doing very well and I would appreciate the prayers of our prayer warriors here on Free Republic.

Prayers also for you and your family. This has to be one of the most stressful thing that has ever happened.

Praying for Kelly
Nourishment getting going again sounds like the positive she needs. Pray that she continues to be one tough little cookie and fights off the bugs that are keeping her immune system in low gear.
Has gamma globulin been considered by the doctors to boost her immune system ?
When active duty I came down with a third degree streptococcal infection that went to my heart the gamma globulin boosted my immunity enough to let my body heal itself.
Just a thought I had .......
Pray that Kelly gets the good lords help soon .
This Sunday morning we send our prayers heavenward to ask for Kelly’s healing. Constant prayer on this special Sunday for all who suffer and all who stand with them in their healing.

First thing I would do is ask the doctors NOT to talk in front of Kelly in a pessimistic way, or in a way that would cause her further stress. That is not helping her recovery and, frankly, doctors should know better. They could consult with you in another room.
Hopefully the feeding will kick in now that the stomach bleeding has been stopped, and that of course will give her body strength to fight. Let’s hope as that happens you will see more areas of progress.

Thank You KELLY’s body is healing! Thank You she is receiving nourishment in her body. Thank You for resolving the bleeding in her stomach. Thank You for the continued healing of her kidneys, liver, and lungs.
There is NOTHING that is impossible for You, O GOD. We thank You for miracles that cannot be explained except to give You the glory!
We speak LIFE into Kelly’s organs in the Name of JESUS. New life into every cell. May the blood of JESUS CHRIST flow from the top of Kelly’s head to the bottom of her feet cleansing her from infection, renewing and regenerating every cell.
We come against everything that is preventing Kelly’s body from being completely restored in the name of JESUS. Loose healing into Kelly, surround her with Your ministering angels.
We give You the glory, FATHER GOD. Great things You have done. All power, riches, blessings, and honor belong to You.

Praying that Kelly’s spirit is uplifted and strengthened to aid in her healing. Prayers for your family and Kelly’s boyfriend that you can also find some peace and strength as she continues to fight.
From a similar personal experience may I suggest asking simple, clear and detailed questions that can be answered with a yes or no answer. Try to anticipate things Kelly may be concerned about and tell her (and I am sure you do often) that you love her. Read her excerpts from this Prayer thread so she knows how many are in the battle with her and that she is not alone.
