Well, not 100% in agreement, the entire reason for the Creeds was because there were divergent interpretations about Scripture.

And there still IS!

I'd always heard that the 'creeds' distill the Scriptures down into the ESSENTIALness of Christianity.

IE this is the important stuff.
The rest can be taken or left.

Like I said, we are not in 100% agreement on this. You see the Creeds from a Wesleyan framework, I a Catholic. No need to get upset about it.
