“Churches” like this will accept anyone and anything, except for people who believe the precepts of Christianity.
I worked in the church directory business with every denomination there is. After meeting more pastors/priests than I can count, I can tell you there’s a good chance your pastor/priest doesn’t believe in what you assume he does.
If you don’t believe, you need to be in the pews or out of the church entirely, not the pulpit.
What’s next?
A white guy leading the Black Congressional Congress?
HRC stumping for Donald?
Cats protesting for Dogs rights?
Alcoholics running Alcoholic Annony... wait.
Debate?
Part of the great falling away.
Find. A. Different. Job. An atheist “pastor” isn’t qualified to work in a church.
They must themselves admit, whether they like it or not, that the church of Christ neither lies nor deceives... Therefore the holy church cannot and may not lie or suffer false doctrine, but must teach nothing except what is holy and true, that is, Gods word alone; and where it teaches a lie it is idolatrous and the whore-church of the devil
Martin Luther (LW 41:214).
No, this is the natural result of a church that preaches “inclusion” rather than truth.
Some people think of church as a building. Some think of it as being an organization or club. But a church means a body of believers. Those who don’t believe are not part of a church, even if they go to a building and attend a service and have their name and phone number written down in a registry. Even if they get ordained as pastors, they are still not part of any actual church.
