Maybe this brew of coffee will finally wake up the Catholics who still back this pope?
Then again, probably not...

Why did he single out Catholics? Muslims and other groups also don’t practice birth control, so what gives?

This heretic Bergoglio is now inviting someone who openly hates all Catholics to speak at the Vatican?
I am sorely disappointed that so many Catholics are sitting on their hands as this evil man wages war against them from within the holiest walls of the RCC.

...and there’s that word “rigid” again.

Paul Erlich! I remember when he used to appear on the Johnny Carson show. For someone who is so concerned about the size of the human population, he sure has held on to his place in it for a long time.
Considering the present pope, Erlich’s getting an invite to the Vatican makes complete sense.

I didn’t know that the Vatican served “nuts” with the holy wine? Something new or just the fact that an Argentinian Marxist is the pope?

Leftists always have their priorities straight (or crooked, as the case may be):
This was not an invitation from a Catholic to a non-Catholic; it was an invitation from a Communist to another Communist.

Maybe the Holy Spirit is giving Pope Francis just enough rope to hang himself here! Pope Francis is probably to far in the tank with Satan to realize otherwise? When our Lord finally says “begone Satan!, the pope will also be included then!?

From G. K. Chesterton -- a Catholic convert:
G. K. Chesterton
"Surplus population"
"SCROOGE is not only as modern as Gradgrind but more modern than Gradgrind. He belongs not only to the hard times of the middle of the nineteenth century, but to the harder times of the beginning of the twentieth century; the yet harder times in which we live. Many amiable sociologists will say, as he said, "Let them die and decrease the surplus population." The improved proposal is that they should die before they are born.
"It is notable also that Dickens gives the right reply; and that with a deadly directness worthy of a much older and more subtle controversionalist. The answer to anyone who talks about the surplus population is to ask him whether he is the surplus population; or if he is not, how he knows he is not. That is the answer which the Spirit of Christmas gives to Scrooge."
~G.K. Chesterton: Introduction to A Christmas Carol. (1922)

It could very well be my imagination but it seems to me that every single position this Pope takes on matters of importance are in direct opposition to what I was taught during 12 years of Catholic schools in the 50’s and 60’s.

I agree, especially the nuns who taught in parochial grade schools. I remember Sister Donna, who taught 3rd grade when I was the 6th grade teacher at St. Augustine’s Elementary School. She gave me real lessons in how to terrorize the kids.
I used those lessons when I went into the Army and became a Sergeant to put the “fear of God” into my privates.

Shall each of us send Pope Francis a Catechism of the Catholic Church or a copy of the Baltimore Catechism? Any Catechism at all?
