The Knights of Columbus want to silence and discriminate Catholic Converts [Catholic Caucus]

...actually, "in service to some" - just "cradle Catholics": Converts need not apply, or buy insurance |
***
The Knights of Columbus made a clear choice when the organization decided to sponsor the faltering "Crux" -- founded by the Boston Globe for liberal journalist John Allen Jr (when the Globe thought it could cash in on Francis' supposed "popularity") and then, when it came into trouble, propped up by the Knights.
The Knights' choice was to uphold the liberal and Modernist version of Catholicism in reporting news.
For a few weeks now,
Knights-Crux has been on a crusade to crush the credibility of converts to Catholicism. This because the Modernist establishment currently in charge of much of the central government of the Church hates American Catholicism, hates conservative Catholics in the United States, hates the Traditional-friendly general trends of the strongest portions of English-speaking Catholicism, and hates, therefore, informed converts who are so influential in those circles.
Why do the Knights of Columbus wish to silence, shame, and persecute Converts? Why do they support this campaign of discrimination of converts in the Church? The leadership of the Knights of Columbus must speak up clearly, or the Crux crusade against converts will remain for all purposes the public and editorial policy of the Knights.
There has never been in the Church a movement to discriminate converts to Catholicism, other than the ill-fated and ugly attempt to shame heartfelt and honest Conversos (Cristianos Nuevos) and their descendants (who included luminaries such as Saint Teresa of Avila) in the Iberian peninsula. Do the Knights of Columbus truly wish to have this indellible stain in their legacy?

This "intervention" was just for show, because a few days later, Knights-Crux publishes a new attack on converts, by convert David Mills with the shocking title "Newcomers to the Church should speak less, listen more".
Mills, a convert himself, is a perfect example of the kettle calling the pot black.

How do you all like you new prep-school uniforms?
The Knights of Columbus have gone down hill in the past years. Why do the Knights heavily support Crux?

They look silly but maybe the younger guys will like them better.
There are good things that the Knights do, for example supporting Middle Eastern Christians with financial support as well as providing mobile ultrasound vans so that expectant mothers can see their babies inside which discourages abortion etc... My council does much charitable work inside our community and our priests rely on their help around the parish. I know some political crap can go on with the Knights outside and inside some councils. Progressive subversives get there slimy paws into every group they can, we have to never give up fighting them.

I need to look more into Crux. If they are bad I’ll give national my two cents.

as a 4th degree Knight and PGK, this is not apparent in any council I've ever been part of. Feels ‘fake newsy’...

According to who? My council and assembly continue to grow every year.
Why do the Knights heavily support Crux?
Here is the official statement from last year explaining the merger.

Why do the Knights of Columbus wish to silence, shame, and persecute Converts? They don't. They funded a failing news outlet ... they don't write the articles for them.

Anderson might be but that doesn’t mean that the rank and file Knights cannot do good in spite of Church politics. I keep fighting inside the Catholic Church for “The Truth” until I get tossed out.

From the link you provided:
“The Knights will respect the editorial freedom of Crux, trusting it to present news and commentary in a way that serves the good of the Church.”
Sounds like Pilate washing his hands.
I repeat, Carl Anderson is bad news for you guys.

They funded a failing news outlet ... they don't write the articles for them. Then why do they do so? Especially when two different authors attack Catholic converts?

Anderson might be but that doesnt mean that the rank and file Knights cannot do good in spite of Church politics. But it is Anderson who dishing out the money contributed by your "rank and file" members.
One can easily be a faithful Catholic, doing good works, without belonging to the Knights.

If you want to see an attack article, that’s what you’ll see. In the first one, I see basic fact ... yeah, Francis has a convert problem. The problem is him, not the converts. He’s saying things that are getting twisted around (or are just outright wrong) and he is confusing the recent converts. Is the author wrong about this? And then there’s this part ... “Of course, you dont need to be a convert to be critical of Francis, and plenty of converts are delighted with him (which is why Bullivant was wrong to think that Winters was getting at converts per se.) But this isnt about liking or disliking Pope Francis. Its about an attitude to the papacy on the part of some.” SOME. Not all. Keep in mind, converts are coming from churches that don’t follow a pope. This is new to them. They’re still learning.
And in the last link, I see good advice for new converts ... listen - a lot ... being new to the faith, they still have some unlearning to do. I know I did when I first converted 25 years ago.
You can take these as attacks, but I see something different.

Sure. But there is strength in numbers. Who was the first organization to start handing out financial aide after 9/11? The Knights. And after Katrina? Knights. And after Sandy Hook? Knights.
Despite any issues the KofC are facing today, the organization still does a LOT of good throughout the world.

My Council is OK. My dues stay mostly in my Council.
Yes Anderson is mixed bag. Someday I might publicly quit but I am not there yet. I did quit one Leftist council sometime ago, lousy progressive bastards are everywhere.
