Reminds me of the film Noah starring Russell Crowe from about five years ago. Noah was an environmentalist who wanted to save the earth for the animals, not the people who might survive the flood. He tried to get his family to agree to a suicide pact when they were still on the ark. When his daughter in law, played by Emma Watson, gave birth to twin girls on the ark, Noah chased her around with a knife demanding she turn the babies over to him so he could kill them. People bad, animals good. No this wasn’t in Genesis at all.
More pagan than Biblical.
And I remember how the Passion was pillared as being to violent.
I remember BASIC. Work in the IT field now. “Grew up” on RPG and CL, now that’s considered ancient.
So is that scene in this movie remake? I haven’t heard anything about it yet, granted I don’t have cable so am a little cut off from the conversation. A friend really wants to go, and I’m not opposed to a good scary movie, but hate deprivation.
No, this scene is terrible. It’s scary, it’s disturbing, it’s nightmarish.
What is really the sacrilege here is that the movie tells the story of Jesus being the child of God and Mother Nature. Not Mary.
So when the story clearly says that “This baby is God’s only son, Jesus” it can get people in an uproar.
For me, I’m just glad that people are still thinking Jesus and his passion. It’s not right, but then “Right” has been hotly contested for more than a thousand years.
“As expected, the relax, its only a movie chorus chimes in. While you personally may not be that fragile, however, you do seem to lack the critical reasoning skills to understand the consequences upon a society inundated with this types of recklessness. Just staggering.”
Thanks for the analysis. Who’s better than you ?
No one !

Oh you misunderstood me, or rather I didn’t make myself clear. I meant is the 11 year old orgy scene in IT in this newest version of the story. Sorry.
“Mother” is a cutesy name though.
Communisn says sell vulgar trash as art.
Probably avoid Jennifer Lawrence movies now, knowing she likes disgusting trash.
Noah was made by the same man who made Mother!. In Noah he said he wanted to make the “least Biblical Bible movie”.
You couldn’t pay me to watch it! Sounds ghastly!
Liberals have ‘progressed’ to eating the babies they abort??
See how far we’ve come. I remember when the critics were screaming about the sadism in DR NO.
Then when Bobby Kennedy was murdered by a Palestinian Immigrant, all hell broke lose as the MSM went on an anti-violence on TV rampage, but gave the movie industry a pass because they said they would “police themselves” with a joke of a ratings system.
With the Hays Code dead, Hollywood started turning out some of the most vile movies ever made hoping to achieve the coveted “R” and “X” (now NR).
Remember some of the old exploitation films that said on the movie posters...”SO BOLD IT IS RATED XXX!!!” The cars going into the Drive-In theater would be around the block for a mile.
Antifa?
Why would I ever pay to see Jennifer Lawrence?
We’ve all seen her quivering pink butt hole already. What else is there?
Oh, no. It wasn’t in the older movie either.
This is only in the book. When the movie people looked at it they realized they obviously would do no such thing.
But Stephen King just said that “It was a different time, and (I) wouldn’t write that now”
If kids having sex is part of the story, so be it. But his descriptions and parlay reeks of pedophile.
A must see.
Jennifer Lawrence will probably get an Academy Award for this because Hollywood is all about producing and promoting garbage.
Also, her boyfriend is ugly.
In short, I’m not a fan.
