So This Is Christmas/John Lennon - A Biblical Perspective
IFB ^ | 12/22/17

Dear friends, I grew up in the world for 24 years before I came to Christ, so I know its thinking and ways because I once lived it and walked its course (Eph. 2:1-14). As I was at work today, they were playing the world's Christmas carols which have a secular and demonic mood to it of utopia through relativism and bankrupt human love; which excludes RIGHTEOUSNESS and Almighty God man's ETERNAL RIGHTEOUS Creator (Rom. 1:18-32). One song that was played today was John Lennon's, So This Is Christmas (War is Over). I had to laugh as I listened to the words and praised the Lord from what He saved me from! This John Lennon song is a total swipe and dig at the TRUE biblical Christmas message and the rejection there of. Mr. "Peace" (John Lennon himself), seeks to encourage all through moral relativism and lawlessness to seek world peace, to end war and "love" one another as fallen humanity (Isa. 48:22; 49:1; 57:21, Rom. 3, Jude 1:10). Hey world, how has that idiocy worked out for humanity since the fall (Psalm 14, Rom. 3, James 4:1-4)? Think I'm being intolerant and cruel? My dear friends, I use to think just like that; for John Lennon was a hero of mine in the days of my vanity. That demonic mindset is a TOTAL DELUSION and how mankind loves to drink it in, especially during the Christmas holiday season! Satan's subtle counter Christmas message is alive in well on planet earth and because of global unbelief, it is received yearly. Tragically, as John Lennon goes, he was the world's leading musician advocate for "peace"; however, in the reprobate world of John Lennon he NEVER found "peace" in this world and in the end was murdered by one of his fans.

No one knows evil like a Christian.

One of the most simple and deep statements I have heard in months. This is so true.

My friend if you want to read it you will... read it... after years of contributing here and posting here I have learned that I will not post a whole article to have people comment on it and not read it. Any ways, tragically there are a lot of lonley haters here who love to make sarcastic remarks and digs againt Bible believing Christian perspectives... Remember that this is a forum, a “religious forum”... for objective friendly discussion. I have had in the past great debates with some who at the end of descussion we were cool even though we had disagreed..

So... if you want to read it, then you are welcome to, if not do not take a stupid dig and then run away like a school boy throwing an egg at a house...

If you do come to our blog.. we make NO MONEY, and we are NOT INTO STAT VOLUME to float our boat.. God honost truth!

It’s all about getting people to think objectivly about the simplicity of the Holy Scriptures and to know Jesus as one’s personal Savior.

A little FYI... for ya! : )

Off topic, but have you all heard 'Amazing Grace' sung by this group?

https://youtu.be/7n145-J8ejg

(Peter Hollens)

Almost brought me to tears

If that doesn't bring the video up, go to YouTube and look up Amazing Graze by Peter Hollens

During the 1970s, this was triumphantly played on the radio at Christmas time. Everybody would lock arms and sway accordingly.

Virtue signaling - decades before virtue-signaling became a thing.

No, you’re not the only one who likes Lennon’s Christmas song. I’ve heard it all my life and Christmas wouldn’t be complete without hearing it at least once.

Took me 50 years on the planet to come to Christ - my perspective is that there's enough real evil in the world that we needn't obsess over a piece of crap song that most haven't a clue about.

Don't fall into the trap of preaching about all the evil instead of praising Christ for being the One who can deliver us all from the Evil One.

Merry Christmas.....He is born!

The funny thing about the line "War is over/if you want it" is how it brings to mind all the peoples of the world for whom it is a cosmic lie: The Kurds, the Yazidi, the Cambodians, the Tutsi, the Ukrainians, the Russians 1941-1943 and the Germans 1943-1945, and so on and so on, ad infinitum.

War is over when you win, or when you lose.

What you WANT has nothing to do with it.

I sang “Imagine” for many years before understanding it’s a communist song.

It's not ONLY a communist song, it's profoundly nihilistic and depressing.

I mean, communists don't really go for "imagine there's no countries" or "nothing to kill or die for".
