Putin Says Russia Must Support the Family - the Future of the Country Depends on It
Russian Faith ^ | 6/13/18 | TASS

"The support of the family, motherhood, and childhood has been and remains among the unconditional state priorities," says the Russian President. Parents with many children "have chosen for themselves a happy, grateful, but very difficult and responsible path that is full of inconvenience and suffering, demanding colossal devotion"

"Support for the family has been and remains one of the unconditional state priorities." This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the awards ceremony for the Order of Parental Glory.

"We need to increase the birth rate," Putin said. He noted that this is "a reflection and continuation of the changes taking place in our country."

The President added that a parent who dreams of a large family needs confidence that their children will be able to access quality education, health care, and housing. "We consistently work in all these areas, and we will continue to do this," the head of state assured.

He recalled that, in particular, the maternity capital program was extended. Since the beginning of 2018, mortgages have been subsidized for families in which second and third children were born. "I expect that the program to increase the availability of nurseries, which we are launching after a similar project for kindergartens, will also bring people the necessary results. . . . Active work on these areas will continue," Putin said.

The President stressed that parents with many children "have chosen for themselves a happy, grateful, but very difficult and responsible path that is full of inconvenience and suffering, demanding colossal devotion, patience, strength, and of course constant work on themselves."

“The news of Russia’s birth rate dropping by 10.6 per cent in 2017 to reach its lowest level in 10 years, despite government measures to boost fertility rate has prompted debate online.”

Former Deputy Premier Alfred Koh lambasts Russian authorities in previous years, for attempting to attribute a birth rate rise to Mr Putin’s measures, saying it was due to “a generation of people born during a baby boom under Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev that has reached child-bearing age”.

Mr Koh argues that the Kremlin should take responsibility for the current situation. In his Facebook post that has had over 700 likes and 100 shares, his reasons for the decreasing birth rate are: “When people’s income is falling for a fourth year in a row, when we have incessantly been fighting since 2014, that we have broken off from the entire civilised world and that the poverty in Russia is shooting up”.

He’s actually correct.

Unlike the Useful Idiots, the Cultural Marxist, that the old KGB and its predecessor the NKVD were evil ruthless bastards that still wanted their State and its society to endure.

Therefore all this political correctness, identity politics, and queer everything that our Left advances were things that could get you sent to a gulag in Russia.

Our Left, what it has become, was designed to bring about civilizational and national suicide ... the mavens of PC and identity politics may be nicer than KGB but they are also more wicked in a number of critical ways, their hatred for the basic building blocks of a civilization capable of enduring being chief among them.

“No wonder the feminists and libtards hate Putin, he is pro-family.”

The Left and, sadly, a number of people here, turned hard against Putin almost TO THE DAY after he signed a law protecting children from gay recruiting (in 2014).

He didn’t outlaw being gay - but parading around in drag and going into schools was outlawed, along with putting that crap on television.

What he says is true, but few people will risk having children in a country with no future, due to Putin’s kleptocratic rule.

Putin is watching Trump.

Putin is realizing just how remarkable a leader Trump is.

Putin operates in the shadows selling nuclear cigarettes to scum regimes.

What is the point?

Trump’s G8 overtures to Russia address this question.

Putin could be the right leader to listen to Trump and brings his country to the forefront of modern civilization.

Strengthen Russia’s economy to the point they no longer need to rely on nuclear tech sales.

Russia goes legit.

Iran left alone in the world.

Good for the Russians. They have figured out what we have forgotten.

Interesting poster. I like to think I'm moderately well informed about World War II, but I hadn't heard of Winterhilfswerk.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winterhilfswerk

--The "Can Rattlers", as they became known, were relentless in their pursuit of making sure every good German citizen gave their share to the WHW. In fact those who "forgot" to give had their names put in the paper to remind them of their neglect. Neighbors, and even family members were encouraged to whisper the names of shirkers to their block leaders so that they could persuade them to do their duty.-- On one occasion, a civil servant was prosecuted for failure to donate, and his argument that it was voluntary was dismissed on the grounds it was an extreme view of liberty, to neglect all duties not actually prescribed by law, and therefore an abuse of liberty. It was not unheard of for workers to lose their jobs for not donating to Winterhilfe or not giving enough. For instance, a worker was fired for not donating to Winterhilfe, and the firing was upheld by a labor court on the grounds that it was "conduct hostile to the community of the people... to be most strongly condemned."

No wonder the feminists and libtards hate Putin, he is pro-family.

Russia's birthrate is at its lowest in years, albeit abortion rates are definitely better than the catastrophic rates of USSR and the 1990s. But Putin , like most Russians, is still pro-choice.

Also: Russia's demographic crisis has caused a labor shortage -which is why they allow Muslim migrants from Central Asia to enter visa-free - making Moscow the most Muslim city in Europe next to Paris.

And there are not as many young people able to be drafted into the military as a result either.

Here is the English translation of Putin on the record, explaining his thoughts on abortion at a forum last December:

"The practice of many countries shows that women go abroad for abortions, illegal abortions are flourishing and so on."

"The decision should be careful, reasonable and based on the general sentiment in society and the moral and ethical norms that have developed in society. Nothing should be drastically changed."

It’s true, that in the past decade, births finally outnumber abortions in Russia — which has traditionally been second only to China in unborn babies killed. But even today, the abortion rate there is twice that of the U.S. and 2017 also marked the lowest birth-rate in a decade. Recovering from its demographic crisis is something Russia is going to have to contend with for decades to come.

Also as recently as last year, Putin ultimately identified as pro-choice because he believes illegal abortions are more dangerous.

Thank you. And Russians - especially young ones will back you up on that but their political options are very limited.

Interesting poster on 9.

The two boys (left and right side) have the eyes of future axe murderers, and the father looks fairly 'dark' also. Although to be fair, maybe the father adopted that perpetually pissed off look after WWI.

We have a bunch of these fake Freepers on the site now, pumping up Putin. Why they are allowed to remain here is a mystery to me.

12 February 2016

Rev. Dr Olav Fykse Tveit, general secretary of the World Council of Churches (WCC), has issued a statement on behalf of the Council hailing the historic meeting of Pope Francis, pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church, and Patriarch Kirill, primate of the Russian Orthodox Church.

The two leaders met on 12 February in Havana, Cuba.

The Russian Orthodox Church is the largest member church in the WCC...”

Catch that? The Russian Orthodox Church is the largest member of the World Council of Churches!

That is all you need to know to understand that it is a sham operation. Reverend Wright’s fake church United Church of Christ (UCC) is also a member. In fact, his (communist) “Black Liberation Theology” was concocted by the KGB.

The Russians must laugh their butts off at how easily westerners can be tricked and deceived.

The Russian Orthodox Church is a member of the (communist) World Council of Churches:

From David Horowitz’s FrontPageMag.com/DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
Profile: LIBERATION THEOLOGY

“...liberation theology’s real creator was the Soviet Union’s foreign intelligence and domestic security agency, the KGB.

Patriarch Kirill, who today heads Russian Orthodox Church, secretly worked for the KGB under the code name “Mikhailov” and spent some 40 years promoting liberation theology.

Ion Mihai Pacepa, the highest-ranking Soviet-bloc official ever to defect to the West, writes: “Liberation theology has been generally understood to be a marriage of Marxism and Christianity.

What has not been understood is that it was not the product of Christians who pursued Communism, but of Communists who pursued Christians....

Its genesis was part of a highly classified Party/State Disinformation Program, formally approved in 1960 by KGB chairman Aleksandr Shelepin and Politburo member Aleksei Kirichenko, then the second in the party hierarchy after Nikita Khrushchev.”

Adds Pacepa: “In 1971, the KGB sent Kirill — who had just been elevated to the rank of archimandrite — to Geneva as emissary of the Russian Orthodox Church to the World Council of Churches.... Kirill/Mikhailov’s main task was to involve the WCC in spreading the new liberation theology throughout Latin America.

In 1975, the KGB was able to infiltrate Kirill into the Central Committee of the WCC — a position he held until he was “elected” patriarch of Russia, in 2009.

Not long after he joined the Central Committee, Kirill reported to the KGB: ‘Now the agenda of the WCC [World Council of Churches] is also our agenda.’”

2006...

North Korea Builds an Orthodox Church

The first-ever Russian Orthodox church will open in Pyongyang, North Korea this weekend.

It’s an odd project considering that freedom of religion exists almost exclusively on paper in the closed communist country.

North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il is supposed to be a communist atheist.

So why has he made promoting the Russia Orthodox Church his latest pet project?

On August 13, the country’s first Orthodox church is to be opened in the capital city of Pyongyang.

Russian Metropolitan Bishop Kyrill, second in command within the Church after the Patriarch, will travel to Pyongyang to christen the new house of worship. ...”
