A trade organization called the ECPA keeps track of Bible sales per translation. Currently the top 10 is:
1 New International Version
2 King James Version
3 New Living Translation
4 English Standard Version
5 New King James Version
6 Christian Standard Bible
7 Reina Valera
8 New International Reader’s Version
9 The Message
10 New American Standard Bible
The top 10 has basically been the same for about the last 10 years maybe more. Notice the lack of the following: The Jerusalem Bible, New American Bible, The D/R translation in all it’s variations...you get my point I hope.
Im sure youre aware that the ECBA is an evangelical organization that rates its lists of most popular among its members who happen to evangelical Protestants. Its hardly surprising that Catholic translations would not be on their list.
