The most blatant is referring to Christmas as Xmas
Think of the X in Xmas as a Greek Χ (Chi) rather than a Latin X and you've got the first letter of the Greek Χριστός (Christos).

It is not so much the writing, but on tv shows . They seem to go out of their way to say “Merry X mas” instead of “Merry Christmas” - if they say it at all. It is like they are avoiding saying Christ.

“Think of the X in Xmas as a Greek Χ (Chi) rather than a Latin X and you’ve got the first letter of the Greek Χριστός (Christos).”

That is a rationalization and most certainly not the intent of those replacing Christmas with Xmas. To them, “X” plainly means ‘cancel Christ’.
