Is Trump God’s Chosen Instrument?
Charisma Magazine ^ | 01/12/2024 | Ryan S. Howard

I recently met and prayed in private with Donald Trump, along with a dozen other ministry leaders, before he went on stage in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The opportunity came shortly after I endorsed Trump for president, an endorsement also made by more than 200 faith leaders across the state of Iowa. While many Christian leaders have come to recognize Trump as the one whom God has chosen to lead America in this hour, others in America wonder how anyone could support Trump at all, let alone endorse him.

So, the question is, why have so many faith leaders endorsed Trump for president?

Decades ago, politics had a middle ground where people could have reasonable discussion. For the most part, both sides wanted the same outcomes and only disagreed on how to accomplish them.

Today is very different.

Globalists want to radically change the nation, including its values and its place on the world stage. Many in the middle want to “play nice” and just go along to get along. But that approach is what has gotten us into the trouble we are in today.

Christians and conservatives have simply played too much defense and not enough offense. We must recognize that the game we are playing is not politics as usual…

“I don’t think ever. But then again, I’m no more evil than you.“

ALL are sinners, and all sin is evil. So we are all evil.

In these days of the air being full of liars and lies, wise men test everything.

God uses both good and evil men to do His will.

We’ll find out who Trump is in 25 years.

This is a narrow view of history, and of course biblically it is way off the reservation.

Trump worship is more like a “powerful delusion.”

Absurd. Psalm 118 speaks of the Messiah, not the liberal jerk from NYC.

Trump is simply a man who saw an opening and tried to fill it.

Such thinking is typical in business.

Trump wants what is right for the ordinary people of the USA and almost all other candidates only want what they personally want, what businesses want or what Karl Marx wanted.

Most multi-national corporations have placed their factories and their bets on Mexico and China and are leaving the USA to rot away.

Only Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy also deeply care about the long-term future of the USA. Unfortunately, DeSantis lacks the tremendous (and sometimes excessive) love of people Trump has, and Trump’s resultant popularity. Vivek is subject to a Supreme Court decision that he is not a natural born citizen.

RE: VIVEK9

Which god are you referring to? RAMASWAMY is Hindu.

“He raised up Trump but he also raised up Biden. He used evil rulers to judge nations.”

So, God raises evil? Well, since God does that sort of thing we can all just hang back and let God play out his little playhouse. Right?

If he governs Constitutionally, why would you care? We’ve had decades & decades of so-called Chrisitan presidents treating the Constitution as a discarded old candy wrapper. If he governs Constitutionally the subject of his religion and/or religious beliefs wouldn’t ever need to come up. Besides there is no religious test in the Constitution.

Rich men have often gone into politics after making money.

Think of Senator Nelson Aldrich (and of the Federal Reserve & Amendment XIV).

I agree on Trump. At worst, he’s Jehu or Cyrus; at best, he is a believer who is working on behest of God.

I love what Vivek says. I don’t know yet if I could vote for a Hindu for the 2nd highest office in the land. I’m concerned it would be giving place to false gods. I understand many had the same view of Minion Romney.

Or, as J.C. Watts said, “What’s down in the well comes up in the bucket.”

In seven years I have only heard President Trump speak well of the American people, of our future, of energy independence, of peace.

I have yet to hear that from DeSoros, Nick Knack, or of course Rutabaga.

If he was Biden wouldn’t be in office as we speak. Not God’s department, free will.

Who are those evil people who support Trump?

Conversely, who are the good people who support Biden?

What I have learned over the last 70+ years, is the easiest way to cut through the noise is to judge the “fruits”.

So weigh Biden’s presidency against Trump’s, and you will have your answer.

Daniel 4:17 explains how our elections work:

‘This decision is by the decree of the watchers,
And the sentence by the word of the holy ones,
In order that the living may know
That the Most High rules in the kingdom of men,
Gives it to whomever He will,
And sets over it the lowest of men.’

The answer is “yes” according to Romans 13:1:

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” ESV

Like it or not that includes Biden too. Some chosen instruments are for our good and some are for bad. God is sovereign and all things are established by his divine providence.

God uses everyone to his own ends, and that includes Trump, so the answer is yes, Trump along with everyone is Gods instrument.
