Solemn Warning! The following organizations are those who claim to be Catholic but dissent from the Truth as handed down from Jesus Christ, Son of the Most Blessed Trinity, to His Apostles and their successors, the Pope and the Magisterium. These organizations are truly following in the footsteps of JUDAS - Just Undermine Doctrine And Spirituality. While they claim to be Catholic, they promote a man-made religion of unfettered pro-sin "choice" by the individual answerable to no one but himself (herself for the feminist reader), while promoting the spirituality of pagans. We all know what the serpent said to Eve; "you shall be as Gods" (Genesis 3:5).
At the same time, their mission statements and goals are disguised in shrewd words, usually in terms of "rights," "equality" and "social justice." But the Bible warns us of such a state of affairs; "I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves [clergy] will arise men speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them. Therefore be alert" (Acts 20:29-31). "And what I do I will continue to do, in order to undermine the claim of those who would like to claim that in their boasted mission they work on the same terms as we do. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is not strange if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds" (2 Corinthians 11:12-15). "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles? So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit" (Matthew 7:15-18).
Due to the potential damage to the Faith, links to these sites are not provided. However, the names of these dissident organizations are offered for your education and awareness - to be alert as the Bible tells us. This list will be updated as more is learned about the various organizations. Following this list is material which contains more in-depth analysis of some of these dissident organizations. See also the Dissenting Author and Speakers page for the names of individuals commonly associated with the dissident organizations. Read also on how does an organization get placed on this list.
St. Michael BUMP!
Is she involved in something else?
I'd wager that, given his view of the death penalty, that John Paul II might vote for a new trial for Mumia Jamal as well.
Interesting:
Catholic Theological Society of America (CTSA)
Promotes dissent against Magisterial teachings and questions the authority of said teachings. A "theological wasteland" according to Bernard Cardinal Law (June 18, 1997).
I was just talking to someone today who is married to the Director of Admissions to a big Catholic HS in Boston. The director and his wife often had the occasion to have dinner with and talk to Cardinal Law (who has, according to these people, received 5 or 6 very credible death threats that the FBI are investigating). Anyway, they love him and say that he is actually a very holy man. When the wife was pregnant with their first child, they were having tea with Cardinal Law in the Chancery. When they were leaving, Cardinal Law laid his hand on the wife's abdomen and gave the unborn child a blessing. The wife said she felt like she had an electical current put to her body and almost fell over, nothing like that had ever happened to her before (and since) that night. Just a little story.
I'm not defending Cardinal Law's actions, btw. This has nothing to do with that.
.... as does the pope. Keep in mind that he too is a victim ... of others within the church (like Cardinal Mahony) who wish to see him taken down. He and the other faithful servants need our prayers.
Only this evening, EWTN showed the story of Sister Agnes Sasagawa, a catholic postulant in Japan. The Blessed Mother appeared to her with many predictions. Perhaps the following will explain so much of what we are seeing and experiencing in our church today.
The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres... churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises, and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord. The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God.
Our Lady of Akita, pray for us.
Lady of the nations, pray for us.
Thanks NYer. I thought I might get *flamed* regarding what I posted on Cardinal Law, but I felt that I needed to post it since there is so little positive information posted on him. He has also cleaned up (to what degree, I don't know) St. John's Seminary in Brighton, alma mater of Shanley, Geoghan and probably most of the 80 or so accused priests in Massachusetts.
That said, here is an interesting article I found while searching for information on Bella Dodd. I thought it was very interesting and comes from a wonderful source. "Present at the Demolition" - An interview with Dr. Alice von Hildebrand.
There you have it! During the cardinal's meeting with the pope in Rome, the media were on "stand by" waiting for confirmation of Cardinal Law's resignation. Though I despise the morning talk shows, I flipped between cbs/abc/nbc to see how they covered the topic. Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America, however, seemed to have an "inside scoop". The cameras switched to a live feed from Rome with, none other than Cardinal Mahony. Diane gloated as she raised the same question to him about Cardinal Law. When Cardinal Mahony mentioned that the topic never came up, Sawyer's face turned from smile to frown. She spoke up ... "But YOU said that ...." and with that the live feed went dead. Her frustration was quite visible as she assured her audience that they would take a break and hopefully resume their interview.
When the media look towards Cardinal Mahony as a resource ... you KNOW to be on guard.
These are truly sad times for the catholic faithful. I feel blessed to know you and many others on this forum. Together perhaps we can help each other through the turbulent period ahead. In the meantime, pray for the Holy Father. Too many in the catholic clergy (using the support of the American media) are already discussing the changes that will probably be implemented with the next pope.
If not, perhaps you can purchase the video from the program. It is quite a story. The 26 martyrs. The church going underground with the understanding that 7 generations would pass before a priest would return.
You are absolutely right about the predictions unfolding before our eyes.
I saw that story about Ms. Sawyer and Cardinal Mahony as well. Isn't it sad? I rack my brains trying to figure out who is orthodox and who is not amongst our church leaders, and then I finally remember to keep my eyes and ears on Rome. I probably do this a couple of times a day!

Thanks, I feel exactly the same way. That is one of the blessings of being "in the ghetto" in my opinion. At this time, I think we need to lean on one another and not waste time or words or thoughts about being on the mainstream "breaking news" section. Anyone who was going to lurk on some of the religeous posting will do so anyway, and at this juncture, I think we need to strengthen our faith and keep together, in order to weather the storm. There is nothing worse than thinking one is alone. It seems to me that Father Elijah started gathering us together... and now history_matters is trying to keep up what Father started. It has helped me out spiritually to see the cohesiveness we now have.
Just my 2 cents! It is 75 degrees here today, I'm outta here!
