Liberals in the bureaucracy, conservatives in the pews.
Well, I guess one good thing to come out of all of these scandals is that they put to rest the myth that the Church is a highly centralized, right-wing authoritarian institution.
When I visited Boston College in January, I noticed that a production of the Vagina Monologues was going on. Pope Clement XIV was right to abolish the Jesuits after all!

I think I will start sending money to the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter. Maybe they will consider starting more seminaries if they receive enough money to expand.

I have sent a letter to the Diocese. The recipient of the award need not get a letter as far as I am concerned. It just bolsters her gaul, and it is the Church that is to blame here. What I would like to know is who is the ultimate Church authority in this area or above them. THAT is who we should contact to express our outrage. Thank you HM for the information, A

Thanks for the notice but I don't think I can do that. I go to a very poor, inner-city parish run by Capuchins. By not giving them money will only hurt my pastor and the huge school bills he has to pay. I have let my bishop know how I feel.
