NEWS RELEASE COMMITTEE TO ELECT BLUDORN FOR STATE REP. * BUFFALO GROVE, ILLINOIS 60089 * E-mail

FOR RELEASE: Monday January 10, 2005 Contact: Scott Bludorn (###) ###-####(cell)

BLUDORN TO JOIN REPUBLICAN PARTY

(BUFFALO GROVE) – Sunday evening in Des Plaines at the Libertarian Party of Cook County monthly meeting, R. Scott Bludorn announced that he was stepping down as President and joining the Republican Party. “I’d like to thank the membership for their steadfast support of my efforts to reign in wasteful state and local government. I feel it’s time for me to offer my support and energy to help reform the ILGOP”, Bludorn said.

Citing the overwhelming support of Republican grassroots activists during his year long campaign for State Representative for the 53rd District, Bludorn said “the tremendous support I received from Republican activists was nothing short of inspiring. These hard working neighbors of mine have an undying dedication to the cause of human liberty, which I share.”

Many observers believe the ILGOP hit a new low in 2004 as current leadership continued the patronage driven politics’ of cronyism that defined the George Ryan era. Bludorn said he believes “the Republican Party in Illinois is at a crossroads and poised to elect ethical leadership” when the State Central Committee meets Saturday January 15th to replace outgoing Chair Judy Barr Tompinka. Bludorn also believes it is “time to replace National committeeman Bob Kjellander so that voters can have confidence the era of insider deal making for personal profit is over”.

With new, ethical leadership in place, the ILGOP “can refocus on providing voters a pro growth, pro family agenda. The governing philosophy of the Republican Party is to protect life, liberty, and property as stated in the Declaration of Independence, and I subscribe to that philosophy. “Bludorn continued.

Mr. Bludorn will be attending the Wheeling Township Republican Caucuses Tuesday January 11th in Arlington Heights stating “we have an excellent group of candidates committed to serving the interests of the taxpayers and we need to support them”. He also plans to travel to Springfield Saturday January 15th to witness the re-birth of the Illinois Republican Party.

Mr. Bludorn is currently employed as District Manager for New Age Concepts Inc. and past President of the Libertarian Party of Cook County – Northwest. # # #

So, once I ask you to stop witnessing to me, in one polite sentence, then, you'll respect that, and quit?

I repeatedly reject the offers and advertising of others to buy their products. I've been asked to be taken off snail mail, email and phone solicitation lists. For example, after the pro-abort Republican candidate for Governor Corrine Wood had phoned my house 5 times I made a dramatic request that her campaign not phone my house again. But she continued to phone with push polls. She (her campaign) was so arrogant to believe that with 4 of the 5 voters in my home being women, it must be fertile ground for her push polls.

I do the same thing. But I don't phone. I knock door to door pushing my candidates and political philosophy, including to those known to not previously vote my way, much like a Mormon or Jehovah's Witness might do.

Hearing the opinion of someone who disagrees with me when I have closed my mind is a minor nuisance compared to not being able to exercise my freedom of speech.

I couldn't agree more being another liberterian Republican. The problem is a lot of the deemed "religious-right" Republicans see as RINOs.
