Now, I would grant you that the Constitution is only as strong as the law and the will of the people who back it up. But “just words on paper”? AYFKM?

JOHN ADAMS...Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other. Roger Roth, Wisconsin Assemblyman and Candidate for Congress, Wisconsins 8th District

“...at the end of the day, its just a piece of paper...”
.
Seems to be the general sentiment of government.

He’s a Republican, currently in the Wisconsin Assembly, and is one of the Old Gard’s favorites. His uncle is a former Congressman.

Does this asshole have a primary opponent? If not why not? I know it's Wisconsin but sheesh. The age of LaFollette is over.

That it recognizes and includes an amending-procedure actually DOES make it a ‘flexible document,’ definitionally speaking.
...however, he probably was using the term ‘flexible’ to refer how our political-caste ‘interprets’ the document.

"So we can ignore all laws? " Yes, that is basically what this puffed-up moron said, without even realizing it, most likely.

I had never heard of this guy before now. I checked his campaign site and he has all the terminology down to make him sound like a conservative. What’s the deal with that?

It's not a document. It was an idea that created the greatest country in the history of the world.
The idea that free people could flourish on their own accomplishments which in turn would create a great and strong nation - ONE THAT DIDN'T NEEDED TOTAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL.
The vision the forefathers held was nothing short of amazing - they achieved that vision based on real experience, real blood and real committment not from some theory they read in a second hand college text book.

It is long past the time for the Tea Party to register as a political party in every state. The Republicans, Democrats, and Independents who see this kind of nonsense are desperately looking for alternatives. If every R, D, and I started giving their donations to the Tea party, it would foster a viable third party while at the same time de-funding the R and D parties.

So we can ignore all laws?Well, no.
Some animals are more equal than others. Used to be pigs, but now they are cockroaches and rattlesnakes.
You got to be a member of Congress.
