(Paraphrased read more at link) Virginia GOP asked a court to remove McAuliffe from the November Gubernatorial ballot. Lawsuit claims McAuliffe failed to sign his declaration of candidacy, however, his two witnesses did sign the declaration. While a technicality,this document is a requirement in order to have a candidate's name appear on the ballot.
