An Austrian teenager who went to Syria to join Isis in April 2014 was used as a sex slave before being beaten to death, a former prisoner has revealed. Samra Kesinovic, 17, fled her home to join Daesh and became a 'poster girl' along with friend Sabina Selimovic. Within six months of her arriving, however, it was believed she wanted to escape and was killed while trying to get out of Raqqa. She had made several attempts to flee, but after her final bid for freedom she was re-captured and battered to death with a hammer.

A teenage girl who ran away from her Vienna home to join ISIS in Syria has reportedly been beaten to death by the group after trying to escape. Samra Kesinovic, 17, travelled to Syria last year with her friend Sabina Selimovic, 15.
