This is why I bugged out to a small, rural town that is surrounded by other small, rural towns, which are themselves surrounded by small, rural towns. Pretty defensible as towns go - limited roads in and out, and ideal for some serious roadblocks.
I've forged some good local relationships over the past couple of years.
This weekend I visited the local Army Surplus store - another great place for preparedness items.
I recommend the formation of local "hunting clubs", "fitness clubs", "communications clubs", "orienteering clubs" and "canning clubs". It's not a bad idea to avoid words like "militia" ... for now.
In 2013 I authored a book that covered organizing small communities for such situations as we now contemplate. I really need to publish a second edition.
"I was stationed in Homestead in the ‘80s. Seemed like a foreign country, then."
That's whey I was working my first post-college job in Orlando, and I remember the old favorite comment ... "Will the last American to leave Miami please turn out the lights."
However, since then I've developed an affinity for the Latin American culture (I guess I like to live dangerously).

I’m convinced that we’ve been marinating in this evil since at least the Vietnam days. One big difference is that almost nobody had been red-pilled in those days. Another difference is that the nation wasn’t broke in those days.
