Agents Lied To Federal Court for Wiretap Authority and Compromised Criminal Investigations of Terrorists

FBI Headquarters’ International Terrorism Unit Acted as a “Spectator” While Americans Died at the Hands of Terrorists

(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption and abuse, represents “whistleblowing” FBI Special Agent (SA) Robert G. Wright, Jr., of the bureau’s Chicago Division, who said today that the FBI continues to dodge accountability and cover-up its negligence and dereliction of duty in pursuing terrorists who pose a direct threat to the United States. SA Wright is the only FBI agent to seize terrorist funds (over $1.4 million) from U.S.-based Middle Eastern terrorists using federal civil forfeiture statutes, prior to the September 11th attacks. The original source of the funds was Yassin Kadi, a Saudi businessman, who is reportedly a financier of Osama bin Laden.

SA Wright points to recent misconduct and falsifications of wiretap warrant applications by FBI agents (signed-off by the former FBI Director, Louis Freeh) to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) Court. Prior to September 11th, SA Wright alleged FBI intelligence agents lied and hid vital records from criminal agents for the purpose of obstructing his criminal investigation of the terrorists in order to protect their “subjects,” and prolong their intelligence operations. SA Wright was stunned to learn recently that some of the FBI intelligence agents that had stalled and obstructed his criminal investigations of terrorists in Chicago had also lied to the judges of the FISA Court in Washington, DC.

SA Wright says that, in his opinion, prior to September 11th, the ITU’s incompetence and repeated failures to support criminal investigations contributed directly to the deaths of five Americans. The ITU’s absolute failure to detect and identify the September 11th terrorist plot, and the radical Islamists that carried it out, is further evidence of the ITU’s negligence, and places the deaths of thousands of Americans at their door.

Ok lets see, its either:

A: Ritter is an uncontrollable liar, flake, fake, prima donna.

b: Ritter is psychotic and unstable, not to mention paranoid.

C: Ritter is a traitor and either has accepted a payoff in return for betraying his country, or ideologically is a leftist, believes in the UN agenda, etc.

or D: Ritter, initially concluded that Saddam was sabotaging the efforts of the team, not allowing them to destroy everything. He later found out that is was Butler and indeed the purpose of the Inspection to NOT SUCCEED and also engaged in spying to try to topple Saddam and therefore finding Saddam at fault and justifying further invasion, etc.

What can't be disputed is that Ritter is outspoken and put himself in jeopardy the first time in saying that the inspections were being thwarted. He risked his position by coming out front with it. He seemed to be telling the truth at the time and seemed honestly upset.

So maybe he found out what was going on? Isn't that a possibility.

What a brilliant observation. He's a lot more than that. He's co-founder of the Trilateral Commission, along with David Rockefeller. He wrote a book extolling the virtues of Marxism and in favor a technotronic state, in which technology would allow the state to control individuals completely. And he made foriegn policy in and out of the government at influential think tanks.

His partner Mr. Rockefeller, found Jimmy Carter in 1973 and launched him from obscurity to his rise to the President of the US.

The CIA also created Hussein, backed him, gave him chemical weapons to use in Iran (surprised used them on Kurds?).

Obviuosly there would be strife in the mideast regardless. But in everyone of these situations, we always see the CIA's footprints leading from the crash site. Hussein, Bin-Laden, etc. Its all a game.

And why is it that "follow the money" applies to Scott Ritter, but never anyone like the Bush Family, or to Richard Butler, or to the creation of the UN, Rockefellers, Communism etc.

Another IGNORANT and INCORRECT comment. I said to damn all those that don't give Ritter's arguments any credibility cause he dares to speak out against the government line and Iraq.

How dare he do that. Why he's a traitor. Obviously paid off. Loves Islam. hates our country. The proof? Oh he doesn't like Bush and doesn't think we should send over 300,000 troops to invade Iraq.

Yeah, well I find the motives suspect for this invasion, and I look at the whole history of our involvement and it doesn't add up. And I thnk Ritter found out that the whole inspection thing was a sham and he was being used and he, unlike others wasn't going to rollover and just accept it.

But when another marine, say Oliver North, comes out and does something everyone agrees with, everybody always mentions that he was a marine and has honor, so on and so on.

All I'm saying is, Ritter may be wrong, he may be duped. But he may be right. I don't trust Butler, he's very smooth. I would doubt his veracity before Ritter's. Let's face it freepers, wouldn't you normally trust a Marine over a career Diplomat in a given situation?

NO I think that title should go to the one (George Bush x41, who's so upset that anyone would dare question the CIA for letting 9/11 happen)who was ultimately responsible for letting the invasion of Kuwait happen, and our response, which ended up killing US Troops and infecting thousands more with Gulf War Syndrome, probably as a result of the pills given out by us.

But I suppose those marines were just sniveling whiners, complainers like Ritter, weren't they?

I see you responded in 1 minute after I posted so I'm sure you thoroughly read and studies my post.

I see that you responded in a personal attack. Its so nice to see such consistency in your posting. No analysis, just attack. So predictable. And definitely worth the 2 seconds it took you to accomplish. You must be so proud of your efforts.

Perhaps. What we really know, as opposed to all these bozos who get on this forum and get emotional about the subject is this:

1. Ritter was a marine and served honorably.

2. He was distinguished enough to get a high-profile role on the US Inspection Team.

3. He was a vocal critic during the inspection time when he felt that the inspections were not fully effective and that they were prevented from getting everything and full access.

4. He later added that his conclusion was that the inspection team, led by Butler and with Butler's apparent approval, was in fact spying on Iraq, probably with the idea of a regime change, which was not something authorized by the Agreements, and certainly something that Hussein would not agree to.

5. If Saddam found out that this Inspection Team was spying (which he probably suspected would happen all the time) it would not be difficult to blame him for not cooperating with the Inspectors afterward.

Which leads us back to Butler. Who is this guy? Polished to be sure. But how do we know what HIS orders were? Was the whole inspection process a ruse to spy on and help get Hussein out of power? Was it designed to fail so we'd have an excuse to go after Hussein whenever and contain and eventually occupy Iraq?

Diplomacy has always had as a major component the art of deception. Why would this not be the case in this situation with so much at stake? We all know that Hussien was coaxed into invading Kuwait. John Sununu admitted in print a year before that we were trying to get him to make a provocative act. Remember the Supergun Saddam was building that was SO dangerous!!!

April Glaspie was instructed to tell Saddam's boys that we were hands off Kuwait, giving him a GREEN LIGHT! Does anyone remember that?!!

No, our government never lies. Its so much easier to just malign a fromer marine who may just be doing what he thinks is right and DAMN you all for not even giving him any consideration. He may be wrong and his motives may be suspect, but there's a lot of crap going on with disinformation on all sides.
