I don't think it has ever been observed in higher mammals, but then again, it has never been pressured to occur, although we do get Hermophrodites sometimes in the higher mammals, so that may count, although I wouldn't want to see what would occur if it ever impregnated itself. YUCH!!

Although, If I am not mistaken, most hermophrodites are sterile in one or the other or both. Not sure about that though, but would not doubt it. Still, it would be icky!! Yeah, not a very scientific term, but it sure fit the bill.

I did get a pretty darn close look at the moon last night though, it was fun to play with all of my eyepieces, and it's wild to watch the moon actually move across my field of view in the telescope.

It works wonderful, but now I am going to have to chop down some trees or move. Probably move would be the best answer, but that won't be until after I find a new job.

Anyway, time to watch the rest of the features on the Fellowship disk, so will talk to you later.

And my package has still not arrived...:(

What the devil are you talking about?

Atheist, hmm, not the last time I checked.

Boy, you got big old cahunas don't ya?

You obviously do not know anything about biology, genetics etc, or you would not say such an obvious falsity.

If disbelief in the scientific method, if lying about evolution is what you need to do to remain true to your faith, please feel free, but do not try and fool others with such nonsense.

If you need to believe it, lie to yourself all you want, but don't lie for god to others, I assure you, he won't like it, no matter what your motivation.

Where's a Plato when you need one?

    LOL, ain't that the truth!!

Science is limited in it's scope, it can only try and explain that which is observable, repeatable etc, you know the drill. It is limited by it's very nature.

Heartland had a very good quote out there, I am not gonna go look it up, but it's basic thing was that Science cannot be the WHOLE truth, and he's right, it can't be the whole truth, but it can be the truth in it's limited scope, outside off that scope though, and it runs into trouble.

That is why science keeps out of that, but the problem are those individuals that use the science to prove something that is scientifically unprovable, or use the science for something that it was never meant to be used for, in those cases, science is far from being the truth, it is an excuse.

Anyway, I think that you and others are really on to something here, but it is not scientific yet, but it is just not time yet, these things will become explainable, they will become observable, repeatable, etc, in the meantime, there is NOTHING wrong with discussing, discovering etc, and when the time is right, when the instrument are available, the body of work will have already been done.

Keep going BB, I think it's great fun, and for the future, you never know what it will hold.

Well, our government, at least when it's controlled by Democrats treats us like we are a bunch of serfs, so if we pushed the analogy, I imagine we could probably go there.

Like I said, my humor falls flat most of the time.

I was in deep trouble and I knew it, but I posted it anyway, my mistake.

It was on point, and I apologize Andrew that it wasn't funny like it was supposed to be.

I did not misunderstand the point, it was a good one, but I still apologize for making such a mess of that post.

Good luck!! ANd don't tear up too much, nah, cry your fricking eyes out, you deserve it!! it'll feel good, even while it hurts. ;)

No problem Vade, I haven't been tracking your conversation very much, I have been concentrating on mine.

So maybe I am the one with the misunderstanding here.

    Have a great night....

I think that we may have a small misunderstanding here.

"Those who put their trust in science alone are wrong and will die wrong."

For some reason, I have given you the benefit of the doubt, and I was right to do so, Vade on the other hand does not take that chance, and I can't say that I blame him.

But in this I do agree with you, and I believe that Vade will as well.

Science does NOT have sole truth on it's side.

Science is NOT a worldview, it should NOT be ever used for religion, it should NEVER be used for politics, it should NEVER be used for an economic system, etc.

Science is about science, and that is where it should remain.

You and I agree on this, and I believe that Vade would as well.

We have a lot of Holy Warriors on this site that claim that science is the devils work, evolution is NOT science, all kinds of fun garbage. That science should use religion, etc.

I believe that they are wrong in those regards, and believe it or not, I think that you do too.

I have given you the benefit of the doubt, and I am very glad I did, we have actually had some good discussions, but Vade is a bit gunshy, so please do not get too angry with him.

He'll come around, if you explain what you mean.

He assumed that you were talking as a lot of the Holy Warriors do, but I don't believe you are.

So, just explain, and Vade will be more then happy to discuss it with you I am sure.

Youa re being very specific, and not at all generalizing as most do, so give him the benefit of the doubt as you have done and I think that we will fix this misunderstanding to the advantage of us all.

Excellent post. I feel bad for the Iranian people, they are not Arabs, they are Persians, if I remember correctly, and should not be having this conversation.

It reminds me of a number of countries that are despotic.

Keep the peoples minds off the domestic problems, by creating an outside boogey man, so that the incompetents in power can hold on just a little longer, and who cares if it costs the lives of their own citizens or destroys their country in the process. If they are not going to have the power, then there won't be anything to have power over.

I find it sad, and the Iranian peoples cries for freedom should be heard, and cultivated and helped along, before the Mullahs really get out of hand.
