Few election results were less surprising than last Tuesday’s.

Seemed to take Jorge Boosh and Karl Rove by surprise. When interviewed, both admitted they were completely blindsided by the outcome.

We are going hold the Republicans personally responsible if Bush pushes the shamnesty bill through with "Stretch" Pelosi.

Count on him doing just that. Bush squandered all the political capital of 2004 on trying to ram his amnesty-for-illegals through. Now that he's got a sympathetic audience in the Dhimmicrats, it's a sure bet he'll go for broke now.

GOP struggles for a plan to reunite party

There is no struggle. The plan is simple.

1. Oust all RINOs.
2. Return to the core principles of limited government, fiscal conservatism, personal responsibility, upholding the rights of the unborn, being Constitutional originalists, and defending our nation from all threats; foreign and domestic.
3. Should there ever be a candidate who says our platform is otherwise, refer to Item #1.

Adopt this plan and we'll have no trouble sweeping the House, Senate and Presidency in 2008.

If our troops come home defeated, it will largely be due to our putting the pro-enemy media square into their deployments. It will also be due entirely to our CiC allowing the leftist media to set the tone of the war, rather than stepping up and at least acting like he intended to fight this war to win.

After he signed off on McCain-Feingold, tossed out Harriet Miers for the SCOTUS, and spent all his political capital pitching amnesty for illegals, I lost all confidence in the man.

Tax cuts INCREASED the revenue into the government. Doesn't that mean more money in the coffers?

Spare me your condescending tripe. I never treated the GOP as a religion, but it's obvious the GOP has taken conservative Christians (hint: its base) for granted. As a consequence, it lost their support.
