Our Mission: The FReeper Foxhole is dedicated to Veterans of our Nation's military forces and to others who are affected in their relationships with Veterans. In the FReeper Foxhole, Veterans or their family members should feel free to address their specific circumstances or whatever issues concern them in an atmosphere of peace, understanding, brotherhood and support. The FReeper Foxhole hopes to share with it's readers an open forum where we can learn about and discuss military history, military news and other topics of concern or interest to our readers be they Veteran's, Current Duty or anyone interested in what we have to offer. If the Foxhole makes someone appreciate, even a little, what others have sacrificed for us, then it has accomplished one of it's missions. We hope the Foxhole in some small way helps us to remember and honor those who came before us.

It certainly turned on a light for us as did the early years of WWII.
Of course. We always know what you mean. With Sam's horrible typing skills we have to decipher his words sometimes also! :-)
LOL. We report and let everyone discuss. At least that way we learn you can't believe everything you read. What is that famous quote on history and who re-writes it?
Thanks Valin.
I have a couple threads coming up that mention the Victory Gardens of WWII. I hadn't realized they did the same type of things in WWI until today.
Wow. Thanks Godebert.
Why don't they just pack up and move the HQ to France where they are welcome.
It was a bright shining moment of my youth to see Corporal Rusty and the then-current Rin Tin Tin at the Ohio State Fair in the 'fifties.
In the sixties I used to hop the fence to get into the Ohio State Fair. We lived on 26th and Cleveland Ave. Not a great place then or now but the fair was a blast in those days. We couldn't afford to pay to get in back then and now you couldn't pay me to go.
Darn! Thought I found someone older than me. ;-)

Now I'm really jealous, the only thing I ever got to see in person was the Weiner Mobile.
[Lassie was played by John Edwards.]
LOL! He fits the part
Too bad the Congress of the 40's didn't have the same wisdom of the one that kept us out of The League of Nations. Maybe someday the majority in America will see the UN for the worthless, corrupt institution it is and get us out, but I'm not holding my breath.
Hay! Eye herd taht!!
LOL. If the keyboard could just keep up with your mind it would never happen.
BTTT!!!!!!!!
Check out an old grave yard sometime.
