Cool. It’s a shame we missed you but you were barely here long enough. This project is in high gear and no one can take any time off.

Howdy folks. Tonight we have just a brief update. We have the ceiling in place, insulated the roof and started skinning it.

Bittygirl applies some ceiling finish before it goes in.

The sides are red oak and will be varnished.

For the outer roof, I haven’t quite decided yet. Either aluminum or a vinyl used for tonneau covers.

It’s coming together quickly. Only doors and the galley left for major assemblies.

There’s a Scout campout in Sept. Don’t know the final date yet, but I’m hoping we’re the talk of the campground.

Might get mom, or dad and two kids. If we all go, it’ll be girls in the tear and guys in the tent.

Hobbit Lass came in from an exciting night, jumped on my bed, and couldn’t stop talking about her evening. I remembered you telling me that your daughters did that. :^)

Gosh I just love that!!! Isn't that the most awesome thing? :-D

I spent 2 weeks in Alabama with my oldest daughter (she's 32 now) and the grandkids. The first week I was keeping the grandkids while daughter and s-i-l had an "adult" mini-vacation. Wouldn't ya know it, the 10 year old granddaughter came in to sit on the bed with me and talk at night. It was so cool. Just little girl chitchat. "What was life like when you were my age?" "What was my mom like when she was a girl?" "Black and white TV?!?!?! How could you see things?!?!?"

Aren't those nighttime talks wonderful? Whether it's dates, teenage social things, little girl things, I don't care what the topic I just love those times. :-)

I miss seeing you too. I think of you more than you probably expect. It was so wonderful to see that photo of Hobbit Lass. I've cared for her and prayed for her through things and it was nice to see her so beautiful at a special time in her life. My life has changed so much in the last 3 years. I would never have anticipated these changes as they are but it's wonderful and fulfilling. I wouldn't have thought of myself doing without my cyber-friends for such long periods of time. Now, I have home-town friends that I see almost every day and that too is wonderful in a totally All-American way. Life is good but I still love the opportunities to see all the old friends here. HUGS!!!
