On July 31, 2000 the Oregon Services to Children and Families seized the three daughters of Brian and Ruth Christine, a college-educated couple traveling across America with their girls, after an anonymous caller said that one of the girls "looked dehydrated". Days later, Ruth Christine gave birth to another child, and secretly transported the baby to Brian's mother in Indiana. A few days later, police armed with sub-machine guns raided the Christine's motor home at dawn to seize the newborn. Finding no baby, an infuriated SCF ordered the couple to produce the child, which they refused. Oregon SCF has battled in the Indiana courts for over a year seeking custody of this baby, but the Indiana judge refuses to uproot the little girl. In retaliation, Oregon SFC wouldn't allow the Christines visitation with their other daughters and stalled custody hearings.

| July, 2001 An SCF spokesperson, speaking to a newspaper reporter doing a feature on child abuse, announced that the state was moving to terminate the Christine's parental rights. They had been allowed two visits with their daughters in the twelve months they were in state care. On August 1, 2001, a year and a day after the girls were first taken from their homes, Brian and Ruth were allowed a third visitation. When the visit was over, Brian Christine followed the SCF van and took the children back at gunpoint when the SCF worker stopped at a rest stop. He and his family fled to Montana, where they were captured a few days later. Ruth Christine is now sitting in a Missoula, Montana jail cell, expecting the birth of her fifth child sometime this week. Brian's mother in Indiana has offered to take custody of this child, too, but the state of Montana is siding with Oregon. A Montana social worker visited Ruth last week and told her that she would not be allowed any birthing support during her labor and delivery, and that there would be an Oregonian social worker on hand to immediately remove the child. She will not be allowed to hold it or breastfeed it. Outrageous cruelty, no childbirth support, only the person whose come to snatch her baby on hand to witness her suffering. Bring attention to this issue and help avert this tragedy. Is the Oregon SCF so rich in resources that it can afford to fly around the country seizing children that were never abused? Seizing children that have never taken a breath in the state of Oregon? Aren't there any children in Oregon being abused who need these resources? |

I agree, and with the rest of what you wrote as well. I hope it's not to late for what's left of this country. I fear that it is.

Hard truth #140. So-called "child protective" agencies collect Federal bounties for every child they remove and adopt out. Their primary agenda is the projection of power and left-wing politics.
I felt Elian should be reunited with his father because of this reason.We dont know for sure but Elian's father might really believe his son will grow up to a better man there then he will in our sorry ass country.
The way our gov.org seized Elian is what ticked me off,but that is typical of the jackbooted thugs that pass for men in this once great country.
We need some good old fashioned rebellion. Hopefully some day soon one state will elect a leader that has a set and he will stand up to the dam revenuers.

The Christine kids had to spend five days in the hospital. That is more than a little "dehydrated". If you have followed the story a little more closely like we do in Oregon, it is pretty obvious that this guy's got a screw loose to endanger his family like he has done.
