[history]
Two Chinese state-run telecommunications companies are helping the Taliban militia install a telephone system in Afghanistan's capital, according to U.S. intelligence officials.
The companies, Zhongxing Telecom and Huawei Technologies, have been working on the telephone system in Kabul for the past two years, said intelligence officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

"There's no doubt they execute terrorists without trial in places like Xinjiang, but whether or not they will help us in fighting terrorism is another story."
------------------------------------------
No, they execute anyone they want to without a trial in Eastern Turkestan. "Terrorist" to a ChiCom is anybody who remembers stories their grandpa tells them about the days before their country was stolen from them outright, and who dares to tell others about it.

...no matter. in a few weeks they'll be without this telephone equipment they're currently installing....

the chinese are definitely "aiding and supporting" terrorist states (ie., Iraq and Ashcanistan)...watch out for them. IMO, upgrading the Iraqi air defense system, which allows them to target OUR aircraft should put them on our list of countries that support terrorism. Look out Taiwan.

It happened when a bunch of communist lunatics rolled in and started to pervert minds and brainwash everyone who was not a Marxist.
That among other things, such as destroying all kinds of cultural things and trying to cram everything into their ideological revolutionary box. If it did not fit in the box, they cut it off...
Communist and Communism is foreign. It is not Chinese.

Does anyone else think it's possible that China has warned the US about attacking Afghanistan and perhaps that why Bush and Co. have not yet come to a consensus for a response? Have Clinton's Chinese giveaways created the massive new threat that's been feared for years in various intelligence circles?

The Communists are murderous traitors who are only concerned about themselves staying in power.
They murdered millions of [Chinese] people and persecuted millions more.
China does not equal communism, as they so hope to believe.
In 1989 the Communists murdered many innocent people, again.
Communism is a disease on what otherwise would be China.

There were a number of invasions, but I guess the greatest theft of all was when Mao's forces triumphed and established the P.R.C. w/ the education system that comes with it -- they have developed a system of education for "minorities" (read: "Occupied states") which squeezes most of their identities out of them in order to convince them they were "always part of the Chinese family."
So far two different Chinese language instructors I've had have proudly told me how "China has over 50 different ethnicities!" No, it's b.s. Many of those people were only relatively recently subjugated by Han and are not in any sense culturally Chinese.

I can't say for sure about anything. I am not in the top of things. If everything was as simple as just bombing Afghanistan we would have done so already regardless of what China said.

What threat is that? Explain yourself more...

They have come to a consensus on the response. They just aren't going to tell anyone what it is.
The buildup before Operation Desert Storm, known as Operation Desert Shield, took 3 months. This is a bit more complicated than Desert Storm because the response will not be limited to one country nor will the response be conventional.

You cannot live under the illusion of the communist version of "one China" forever.
There never has been "one China".
Reality shows there is more than one language, more than one culture, more than one belief and system of belief in China.
Yet the Communist party says "You either agree with us or you are anti-revolutionary"...
They are trying to force everyone into the same box and same belief and same ideology.
In that way they have stolen or destroyed a great deal of China. Whatever they did not like, they killed or destroyed just so that everyone would have to agree politically (or else).

And where did the Chinese get all of the money to fund all of these investments in "rogue states"? Largely from the U.S. in the form of our large trade deficits, thanks in large part to the terminal stupidity and avarice our nation's business and political elite.

Actually they have some good stuff that they 'borrowed' from us.

I thought Xinjiang was ruled by ROC before Mao took over China and ruled by Qin Dynasty before the KMT overthrew it. So actually Xinjiang was an independent state before 1949?

>>Communist and Communism is foreign. It is not Chinese.
That explanation makes some sense. It means the whole China, including Xinjiang, was invaded by foreign powers in 1949.
