Yes indeedy. I have not slept well in a month, just 2 or 3 hours at a time. Last night I medicated myself out of this world for 12 hours.

With sanity starting to return, more or less, sorta, I will try not to take big bites out of my friends any more.

I have been trying to be a recluse and a lurker for 6 months, but something keeps coming up. My mind is still as frizzled as the hair on that dude who lit an American Flag yeaterday.

Hi to all. This is the first time I've posted on the Freeople Threads. I have been around here for a while, usually lurking, but I do occasionally post my thoughts.

I have recently begun to do some photo work in my spare time, and I have found it is a good way to express my thoughts in a creative way. I have been working with movie posters, creating parody images with a political message. I am posting to share those images with the many people here on FR. If you haven't yet seen my movie parodies, you can check out my "official" website, Paybax Parodies.

My website is still in "beta" stage right now, but as is, it provides the images well. If you decide you want to post these pictures here on FR, all I ask is that you please provide a simple link to my main site (paybax.com) to give me proper credit.

To give you an idea of my work, here are some low bandwidth thumbnails to look over. Just click on the picture to go to the appropriate image page with the full sized version.

FYI, my website is named after my first parody image that I finished, "Paybax", based on the movie "The Matrix".

I hope you all enjoy the current images, and if you want to be flagged in the future for new images I create, just let me know, and I will alert you with an announcement.

Also, if you want to suggest any improvements, please do. I am always looking to improve my works, and will happily accept appropriate criticism. :)

At least I got rid of the headaches this morning. I had set my monitor's resolution to 1600x1280 while I was doing some graphics, and forgotten all about it. I am way too old to be trying to read stuff at that resolution, even with a "Large Font" setting and a 19" monitor

Have y'all seen this thread?? Very Interesting.... and scary.

My weekend with the enemy

BTW Conservobabe, have you seen any of the special "Band of Brothers," because it gives you a first person perspective of life on the ground during WWII. I told my Grandpa that he prolly shouldn't watch it, but I described it to him, and he says that my descriptions are VERY similar to his memories of his time in Europe.

Thank you, Dale. Very informative article and interesting thread

Yes Ma'am.

You know I was thinking about the recruitment problems your merchant marine ongoing concern is having. I believe your business model needs to be revised.

With the strict exportation duties imposed by western civilization these days when your cargo is of the H. Sapiens sort, I propose that you set the market on it's collective ear. Think outside the 'vessel,' so to speak.

Simply reverse your trade route. Instead of collecting cargo here for sale there, merely pick up cargo there, and bring it here. From what I have seen from the footage from that area, what few women you can see that aren't ancient or emaciated, are Hotties. They would also probably walk completely across pakistan to get to a port, and join your crew.

For the cost of a meal, your Scurvy Rat(t) Captain could load the boat up to the crow's nest. And once here, they would fetch a good price. Sweetie Palo could teach them rudimentary language skills so that they could serve their new mentors well.

And, of course, they will all need someone to see to their needs. As the crew so far consists of Palo and the Capt.'s concubine, then I would volunteer to see to the cargo's needs. My altruism runs deep in times of great need. hehehe!!

By gosh, I think you've nailed it! With the Ratts discerning taste in woman, (ie. Ann Coulter, etc.) you may be just the furrowing rat we need.

Palo as teacher, yes. Grannie as Ginny, (the Capt'ns concubine) yes, yes. Nully as First Mate, absolutely. Sounds like a plan.

A veritable smorgasbord of iniquity. Hmmmmmm

Now who else do we need for crew???

Very interesting Ratty. I have myself been thinking along similar lines rather than picking up what is available on Freeople which I am sure you will agree is not prime hunting grounds. And our wonderful Palo has been spinning her wheels casting pearls before swine as it were. I believe we would do better with a few specialty items – fancies if you like.

My mind would run to Eurasians, Cape Colored or Anglo Indians or Malay Chinese and American Vietnamese combination but the later would be my fall back position. I also appreciate your altruism in offering to assist in this project – at what price does altruism come. My last offer was $7.50.

I will not be able to reply to your subsequent posts as I am being hunted by a coalition of countries – I am sure you have heard about it, and I find it wise to remain low profile at the moment

This too shall pass.

My concubine is in good hands.

I see our Captain did not use the right bait to get Ratty to join our enterprise
he promised Ratty a salary (7.50 a week)
what Ratty wants is a harem
