Breaking bipartisan solidarity on Capitol Hill, Rep. Jim McDermott yesterday criticized the U.S.-led attacks on military targets in Afghanistan, questioning whether President Bush had "thought this action out completely or fully examined America's cause."
The Seattle Democrat issued a two-paragraph statement that suggested Bush and his military advisers reacted too quickly to the Sept. 11 suicide jet attacks against the Pentagon and World Trade Center. The statement was the first public criticism of the retaliatory strikes by a federal lawmaker.

Back!! Back into the darkness you cockroach!

I wonder what part of 'UNITED States' McDermott does not understand. McDermott used to be on the House Ethics committee, and would regularly leak information. He was one of Bonior's lackeys in the campaign to destroy Newt.

McDermott is a long-standing sh*t for brains. Before being elected to the big house, he was in the WA State Senate -- where his constant refrain was the need for a state income tax. My sister knew him and did not like him.

Here's a link to email him - http://www.house.gov/htbin/wrep_findrep You'll need the zip code for Washington State, which is, 98104. The submit form asks for an address. I simply put Main St., Seattle, and was able to send the scum an email.

A much better avenue is to call Gephardt and raise Hell about McDermott... Gephardt is responsible for these children and will not want to hear from you... McDermott's office could care less.

Yeah, I guess we should wait and give Bin Ladin and other terrorists more time to develop delivery methods for nuclear & biological weapons so the next attack kills MILLIONS of Americans.

So, why did he vote to authorize force? And the attack was
too soon??
We were about as deliberate as we could be without be rightfully accused of ignoring the attack on America.
Seattle should be ashamed of electing this scum.

I don't think that it is beyond the pale to hold this war to the same standards that we have demanded of our gov't since the end of the cold war. "What is the objective, how do we define victory, what is the exit strategy". Too much of what has been going on has members of the administration saying- "we will see what we have to do next" and "we don't know what the schedule is but we can go on forever" (ie. we have patience. What is the exact goal (how do we define victory) and how do we get ouot (are we installing a new gov't in Afghanistan etc)?
