[history]
IT was hard to pick out a favorite moment in the loony left's cop-bashing press conference yesterday - until the deranged Juanita Young opened her mouth.
Young is the mother of Malcolm Ferguson, a nine-times-convicted thug who was shot dead last year in a scuffle with an NYPD officer trying to arrest him. Six bags of heroin were found on his body.

Their "profiling" is really CRIMINAL PROFILING!

The terrorists, she said, were at least brave enough to surrender their own lives to commit murder. "Those cops, when they killed us, what did they lose? Nothing," she said.
This tit for tat is getting sick. The terrorists who got killed were instruments of Bin Laden, Bin Laden is alive and well.
Heck, if she support cops suicide bombing themselves during anarchic "black" protests in Cincinati, I'm all for it.
Give me Liberty or give me death .... after all.

Almost as disgusting as Ms. Ferguson's comparison of the tragic events is the author's own capitalization of the horror.
Some things do not need to be stated.

But it is also important to know that nobody cares what they have to say anymore. That would be nice; but my guess is that once the 9/11 solidarity dies down (and it will), the country will be more polarized than ever.

This will be the rule if Freddy Ferrer is the next mayor of New York. Green will be no better.....looks like Bloomberg is the city's only hope.

I want to believe this, but we'll see.

Unbelievable! I'm almost glad I'm not in the US right now to see these morons. I think my favorite was:
Pakistani-born Sarah Hussein wailed that since the attack, she has been oppressed by "stares and looks." Yeah, that sounds much worse than Taliban opression of women. I would really like to buy her a one-way ticket to Afghanistan. But she'd probbably be afraid to fly right now.

As a member of the Orthodox Christian Church, which for over 1,300 years has been the biggest victim of Muslim expansionism, I call upon the author (Dreher) to avoid the ridiculous misuse of the term "orthodoxy" as in the following excerpt:
What that had to do with police brutality is anybody's guess, but it didn't matter. That was thrown into yesterday's fetid cesspool of the Left's smelly little orthodoxies on immigration, racism, the war on drugs, imperialism, McCarthyism and Mumia. Always Mumia.
Why not "smelly little catholicisms" or "smelly little protestantisms"? Sometimes the words one uses without thinking are very revealing. Orthodoxy means "the proper worship of Jesus Christ as the second Perosn of the Holy Trinity" and has meant that for almost 2,000 years.

What a great article. The writer gives the protesters all the respect they deserve.
I wonder how the Times covered this? It would be interesting to compare and contrast.

Change your tinfoil hat, it's wearing out and the thought control rays are getting to you! Perhaps the term Orthodox (capital O) means the Eastern churches, but in English, orthodox (lower case 0) does not have any specific religious connotation at all, rather it means the approved or conventional interpretation of something.

Come on . . . What do you guys expect from Hitlary's constituents?
To: JohnHuang2
For some people, it's all about them. Every local, national or world event was meticulously planned to "oppress" them personally. Nothing is ever their fault--they are perpetual victims.

Get ready for a new crime wave when Freddy Ferrar is elected mayor. Al Sharpton will be head of the police department and this Juanita Young will head one of the precincts.

I almost always enjoy your posts elsewhere, but here I fail to see how careful observance of the etymology and proper use of words is evidence of a hidden conspiracy, as your allusion to metallic headgear seems to indicate. Rather, (as my father, who taught English, might suggest), a judicious use of a thesaurus will provide a plenitude of words from which to choose the exact sense desired. I believe that Dreher's misuse of the word "orthodoxy" is so blatant as to call for attention and correction. But perhaps I am not so "liberal" and "encompassing" as you, and do not wish to engage in those "smelly little catholicisms". But hey it's only a word, right?

We all said hitlery had no chance because she was such a B**ch and uncommonly corrupt. But- boom,, there she is. Now, we are all in disbelief that Al Sharphead is even considered for a political position.
I fear that there is a corruption so deep in the voting processes in NY that sanity will not prevail.

Gee, I wish you'd expound on that brilliant statement.
I'm really interested to know what you're thinking.

It's just killing you that Bush is president, isn't it? ROFL. Go count some ballots in Florida or something.
