Well, I must say you certainly have captured the cartoon flavor of our latest imperial adventure. Just think of it - Dubya is sallying forth to slay the Afghani dragaon and FR's collective heart swells.

Some would say that's fantasy/delusion, but actually everyone here knows absolutely that bombing peasants is going to solve the terrorist problem, and once (trumpet flourish) GEORGE W. BUSH, grandson of eugenics fancier and Hitler financier Prescott Bush (3 firms shut down in 1942 for violation of the "Trading with the Enemy" Act), son of Saddam Hussein's former business partner and Bin Laden Group honcho G.H.W. Bush, solves the problem (by bombing peasants and creating about seven million new refugees just in time for the Himeleyan winter), we'll be safe! Ha, ha. Just be honest enough with yourselves and examine the new legislation passed by Congress. It's awful. Essentially our Fourth Ammendment has been gutted. Now, ask yourselves what your reaction would be - stay honest - had it been Bill Clinton's administration who was pushing this legislation?

The Homeland Defense Baloney is entirely a creation of the executive branch; congress has not been even so much as asked to sign onto the new bureaucracy. It will exist subject to no congressional review, nor juridicial review, nor any regulation. It's budget is secret, and not subject to audit.

Think! This is fascism.
