Either SLJP or patriciaruth should be able to help you.

Most of them are grown up by now. Sorry.

If you are good-looking and single, I'll volunteer!
I'm prior service though. Does that qualify?

use this site, it's legit, you have to apply & they will then send you a name to correspond with.

I don't want to appear biased but maybe you should consider adopting a Marine! My wife hasn't had any problems since adopting me.

Do they have something set up from FR? I read something about this while I was at FR but I'm still limited on what I can do here. I seem to lack computer skills ;o)

I don't know where you can adopt a soldier but if you would like to take custody of an old sailor, please send me your phone number.

*LOL* A Marine will do. Maybe one from each branch?

Stay tuned for FreeRepublic Network info on providing assistance to the military/military families. It is in the works, and something discussed on the recent FR Network Cruise many of us attended.

Ok! I will hold off signing up anywhere else. I would like to do it through FR if possible.
I was somewhere on FR and was reading something about a women's guild (sp) but can't for the life of me find it again.

Here is today's Guild thread!

AG,
here is a wonderful thread by A Navy Vet that is full of links, etc. (ANV is heading up the FR Network's military assistance program)

We have a name to send a care package to. This week we are adding a Treat for Troops to our Support our Troops Rally. At this time the thread is very long so you might want to start at #137
Fresno Support our Troops Rally 10-19. SLJP found our serviceman but patriciaruth has also been sending care packages to servicemen.
