I can hear it already: "Something bad might happen / be aware / get on with your lives."

(10-29) 14:08 PST WASHINGTON (AP) --
The FBI prepared a new terrorism warning Monday asking Americans and law enforcement to be on their highest alert for possible new attacks this week in the United States and abroad, government officials said.
The alert was based on information the FBI received about possible attacks over the next several days, said officials familiar with the warning.
The alert would be the second this month. On Oct. 11 the FBI said it had gathered "certain information" that additional terrorism attacks could occur within days.

Local radio reports from AP the Justice Department will issue a NEW terrorist threat today. As if it's not bad enough with Islamic extremists issuing terrorist threats, now the Justice Department is going to start issuing them, too? ;-)

What was the matter with the old threat? Should I have been relaxing all this time?
"We are issuing a new terror threat". We just thought you should know - go back to your normal routine..."

They want to avoid issuing alerts followed by no events. After a few of those non-events, people will ignore warnings. So if they issue an alert, it must be something serious.

Janet Reno will be streaking during the third game of the series.

What happened to that guy on the FBI watch list that was taken into custody getting off the plane in Phoenix on Saturday? I wonder if this has something to do with NYC and the World Series heading into town.

Maybe they received the email about Halloween and the malls!
Seriously, I don't see the value of these warnings. Unless they get more specific, they are useless.

My thoughts exactly they better not issue to many of these "alerts"...

Now THAT is terror.

...be on their highest alert for possible new attacks this week...Wasn't something supposed to happen on Hallowe'en? That's this week. Just because most kids have already been Trick or Treating or to their parties (because a lot of communities celebrate Hallowe'en the weekend before), doesn't mean that Wednesday, October 31, shouldn't be a day to be very watchful and careful.
This is just a hunch.

That's her in the bullpen -- the one with the foul ball!
