A Freepin Welcome To Miami For Al Gore

Posted on 12/13/2001 11:11:10 PM PST by Fearless Flyers

12:30 am December 12th, 2001, I finally decided on my welcoming messages for Al Gore. Today will be the first anniversary of the day Gore forced the Supreme Court to stop him from stealing the election and there is going to be a Democratic Senatorial Fund Raiser with Al Gore as the honored guest, his first appearance in South Florida since the election.

I have two messages for the event “You’re All Fools to do Al’s Dirty Work, Oh Yeah” and “Bill Clinton’s Airline Security Chief, Al Gore. Thanks For The Memories Al.” I was trying to figure a way to work Tom Daschel, Stone Walling, the Stimulus Package, Poultry Waist and Bill Clinton all into one sign but just couldn’t do it. I already had to fight with myself to drop the plug for FreeRepublic off the Airline Security Chief sign, and wasn’t planning to make that sacrifice again.

I finished my artwork and got some sleep I would be getting up early to meet with Freepers, Dorben and his wife Wing Nuts and Bolts. Dorben claimed this to be his first Freep, I would argue he had the courage to stand against the Democratic Political Machine of Bill Daily and Al Gore at the Ft. Lauderdale Court House last year during the Election Recounts. He would prove to be a brave rational and reliable partner in Freeping. Unfortunately Wing Nuts will not be able to join in the fun, but her inspiration and spirit would be with us during the entire evening.

Ben and I arrived in the fund raisers neighborhood around 4:00pm The News Crews were already setting up but so far none of the Gore supporters appeared, they were instructed to be there by 5:00. Once all the networks were set up, they decided to interview the only members of the welcoming committee that were on the scene.

Ben explained his opposition to the socialist direction the Democratic Party was taking in its attacks on Private Enterprise, Capitalism and the Free Market. I expressed my displeasure with Al Gore and The Democrats, for continuing to exploit the Elderly and Minorities. How, even after a year of reviewing all the Ballots the only fact that remained clear was that the Democrats want us to believe Minorities and the Elderly are too stupid to vote without special interpreters to explain their ballots. Later I would express this view to an AP reporter. I found it interesting the next day when I read in an article by David Cázares, from the Sun-Sentinel:

But not everyone who voted for Gore was happy about his appearance. Some said they were there to protest his failure to call for investigations into the alleged disenfranchisement of thousands of Florida voters whose ballots were not counted.

"As long as he keeps his mouth shut as he has been he's not going to get my vote," said Jeannine Ross of a group called The Oral Majority. "I think he is more worried about his personal image in the public than about democracy."

I believe these statements confirm my opinion that, the Democratic Party continues to exploit Minorities and the Elderly and want us to believe they are too stupid to vote. I was also happy to know my instincts about Jeannine Ross were correct and I was right to stay away from her when I discovered she might be a friend of Monika’s.

While Ben and I were talking to the Networks, Jorge from Miami Free Press and his assistant TaZofMiaMi arrived and I gladly let them move in for an interview in front of a local network. Jorge does some great work with his efforts to expose these liberals for what they are, anyone who hasn’t visited his site antiantiwar.com is missing some great entertainment. It was great to meet Taz too, not only was it good to see Jorge with backup but Taz is a really nice guy who helped our lady Freepers feel secure in the company of the evildoers.

Soon we started to notice some people gathering at the other end of the News Vans and Ben went down to check it out. There he met a guy in Uncle Sam costume complete with skeleton mask to hide his face, he was holding a sign stating he was mourning Democracy. Ben would express the same feelings of mourning for the victims of 9.11 to Skeletor Uncle sam, along with his gratitude that the United States remained a Free Republic. “A democracy” Ben would explain “is just a little worse then tyranny.”

As Ben was returning from the enemy camp we heard a Free Republic war cry coming from a pickup truck which we followed around the corner. Two lovely visions of conservatism, Shetlan and her daughter Deon had arrived, They climbed out of their truck in the shadows of their proclamations “Defending The Constitution” and “Big Government Is Not The Answer”. The four of us moved together as a team to confront the Gore supporters at the other end of the media line.

MiamiFreePress was already there, confronting the ignorance of these misguided people, as he does so well. He was getting an interview from a Flor-idiot, this guy figured as long as he yelled loud enough and didn’t allow anyone else to be heard he had to be right. Unfortunately for him I have a strong set of vocal cords and am familiar with his tactics. When my voice started to overpower his he moved in on me and as I continued to use his own tools against him he complained I was spitting on him, without losing a breath I sprayed, “You are free to move away,” which he did. I didn’t let up on his retreat, vociferously telling him “You don’t like it to much when we use your own tactics against you”, and asking “why are you going away?” Of course he attempted to answer my challenge and tried to move back in but my spray was more overpowering then his and it wasn’t long before he retreated again permanently. Later I would hear him screaming that the recession was President Bush’s fault. My voice was still strong and I shouted out the truth. “The recession started six months before President Bush took office, with the decline of the Over Valued Dot Com Stocks. You all should remember them, Al Gore created Dot Com Companies right after he invented the internet”

There was a man I mistook for a prison inmate at first, he was wearing a white T-shirt with number 539,947 printed over his right breast. Knowing how the Miami Democratic election Board allowed felons to vote, I thought he was there to express his gratitude. I soon discovered the number was his determination of how much Al Gore won the popular vote by. He couldn’t explain how he was so sure about this number when nobody ever completed counting the popular vote in a country with a population in the hundreds of millions.

Hey, Uncle Sam, I thought you were a U. S. citizen what country’s Democracy are you mourning? You know this has always been a republic and democracy promotes mob rule right? No response maybe those masks hide one’s voice as well as one’s face.

After a brief absence Shetlan returned with a cooler of goodies, a bullhorn and a friend named Cookie. Yes the great virtues of our Lady Freepers, charming, giving and always prepared. Ben found a great freeping weapon in the bullhorn, and used it to explain the Gore Doctrine from his book “Planet Earth” to the SUV’s passing by on the road. He pleaded with the arriving guest to the fundraiser, they didn’t have to support the criminal that was being honored inside. The bullhorn was also useful in warning the poor Gore supporters who were stumbling out onto the roadway before they got run down by cars.

Some of the usual leftists were present and they never change. There was a women affectionately known to us Freepers as, Big Loud Mouth Black Women, we all know her, she always has her mouth open and nothing intelligible ever comes out. Someone once told me she was working to have election ballots translated into in Ebonics. I don’t agree with this view because I have noticed that other African Americans have trouble understanding her too. I do know one of her chants was that “Bush Cheated and Gore Won”. She also had some schpeal about trouble finding work, but when I offered to help her find a job, she declined with some nasty words I couldn’t quite understand completely, but am sure I wouldn’t want to repeat them on this forum.

There was Black gentlemen there, some of us have met before. He is one of my favorite adversaries, no matter how much you humiliate him he keeps on smiling. He is in love with the idea of reparations for slavery. He has never been able to explain why my family that has lived in this country since the before the Revolutionary war, and has never owned slaves, should have to pay for reparations out of our taxes. Some of my ancestors even helped to free the slaves by serving on the aggressor’s side during the Civil War. Hasn’t the blood of my relatives been payment enough?

Shetlan had to leave for a while and she left the cooler and bullhorn in Ben’s care. This is another virtue of Freepers, they are trusting and respectful of others property.

Al Gore arrived without any fanfare, I saw his large gas burning Lincoln enter the gates uncontested, but I didn’t feel it necessary to alert his supporters of this development, so he entered unnoticed by the crowd.

The Network News Teams started packing up their gear and right on cue all the leftist retreated. Ben and I were left there alone to continue our Freeping. Ben kept explaining the Gore Doctrine with the bullhorn, to the vehicles passing on the road and I continued to present my welcome for Bill Clinton’s Chief of Airline Security. We hung around a bout an hour more and took one final picture of the man tending the guest list at the gate to the house. We left him to relay our message to Al Gore “The Freepers had the determination to out last all his supporters and our resolve will last long after he retires from politics.

I’d like to thank all the participants in this Freep and apologize if I left out anyone’s contribution to our success.

Keep On Freepin On! Pictures to follow.

Gore visit to Miami-Dade sparks talk of 2004 presidential bid

By David Cázares
Miami Bureau
Posted December 13 2001

A year ago today, former Vice President Al Gore put an end to his campaign for the presidency by conceding the bitterly contested election to George W. Bush. He then Gore then entered a period of political seclusion, making a trek to Europe, where he grew a beard and avoided the spotlight.

On Wednesday, Gore -- who won the popular vote by 500,000 votes but lost in the Electoral College -- came back to South Florida on the anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision that halted recounts of disputed ballots in Florida.

His participation at a fund-raiser for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, an event that was expected to raise $500,000 for the party, sparked a round of speculation about whether he would run for president in 2004.

"This certainly provides him an opportunity to return to what was always very friendly territory for him to make connections," said Joe Geller, former chairman of the Miami-Dade County Democratic Party. "Though he hasn't made a decision, if he would decide to do it he would certainly be the frontrunner under any possible definition. After all, he did win last time."

Gore, who is involved in research on communities at UCLA and teaches at two Tennessee universities, recently was named vice chairman of a Los-Angeles-based financial services company. But Washington observers say he is also making the right moves in politics, such as his move to fill in Wednesday for Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota and New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton at the Miami-area fund-raiser.

"To the extent that he does continue to do things for the party, like helping to raise funds, he is at least continuing to maintain his political viability," said Ronald Walters, a political scientist at the University of Maryland. "There are people who suggest that he has not claimed the mantle of party leader despite the fact that he did so well in the popular vote and would have legitimate claim to it."

To that end, Gore has formed a political action committee and appeared at fund-raisers in Iowa and New Hampshire. But friends and associates say the former vice president is still contemplating his political future.

Will he run for president?

"He doesn't know the answer to that question, but that doesn't mean he hasn't spent his entire life assisting progressive Democratic causes," said Fort Lauderdale lawyer Mitchell Berger, a close friend and Democratic activist.

Gore's visit on Wednesday marked his second trip to Florida since the election. In May he spoke at a travel industry conference in Orlando.

Near the neighboring homes of high-profile lawyer and lobbyist Chris Korge and businessman Stuart Cauff, where the fund-raiser was held, Gore voters welcomed him with signs.

Bob Poe, chairman of the Florida Democratic Party, said it's far too early for anyone to say Gore would be a party favorite.

"I think that he should be given every consideration," Poe said. "[But] this is not something that is just handed to somebody. They do have to earn it."

Information from Sun-Sentinel wire services was used in this report.

I do not blame Mr. Cázares for not attending the Democratic fundraiser, Al Gore is a non story and does not deserve much media attention. I think Mr. Cázares deserves credit as man who is willing to answer his own phone and listen to those who would criticize his work. I’d like to thank him for taking the time to share a conversation we had this morning and respecting my opinion, that there is a liberal slant to this article. Mr. Cázares believes he was merely reporting the fact that people were speculating whether Mr. Gore would run for the Presidency again and was not covering the Democratic Fundraiser specifically.

It is possible that a conservative opinion may not have been available on the wire service that was used to research this article. It wouldn’t be the first time the AP ignored the conservative sources available to them, to provide balanced reporting. There were plenty of conservative opinions available outside the gates of the fundraiser. Freepers, Dorben, Cookie, Shetlan, her lovely daughter Deon and Fearless Flyers were all willing and did in fact provide their opinions to Jorge of the Miami Free Press, all the local networks and the AP reporter covering this event. For all the liberal opinions that are introduced in this article there was a counter opinion available from the Freepers. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/miami/search/sfl-dgore14xdec13.story

How about your ISP? They tend to offer some space for their customers to set up a web presence. AND - there's Photopoint.com also. A number of folk like to use that.

LIEberman spent a lot of time visiting Floriduh during the campaign. He went to senior centers all over the state telling the folks that George Bush was going to cut their social security benefits. It was commented on at the time about the amount of time he was spending in that state. The underground campaign the dems ran in floriduh along with the massive fraud nearly toppled the very democracy the dems voters profess to care so much about. Nothing has been done to clean up the demonrat voting machine. Despite the sky high poll numbers for our beloved President we have much to fear from fraud.

Outstanding, wish there were more concerned citizens willing to express the truth as you all have done. Here in TN, the only thing we concern ourselves with is taxes.
