Isn't great to see the words "Merry Christmas," not Happy Holidays, on a web page, or anywhere?
FreeRepublic.com is the greatest!
Merry Christmas to all FReepers!

My kids' public elementary school had a Christmas concert this year, the first time in a long time. Not a holiday concert, not a winter concert.
The word "Christmas" was posted in large letters in two places in the gym, and 70 percent of the songs were traditional carols. I was in shock.
I wonder if 9-11 had anything to do with the attitude change.

How silly ! All of the Christmas cards, that I sent out, said MERRY CHRISTMAS. The vast majority, of cards that I got ( about 98 % ! ) said MERRY CHRISTMAS ! I've been grocercy marketing all week, in preperation for comany ( family & friends ) and EVERY supermarket ( I've now been to FOUR different ones ) , had signs up, saying MERRY CHRISTMAS ! The catalogs, which have clogged up my mail box, for months, have almost ALL been printed with CHRISTMAS in the title !
I could go on, but what the hey ... someone/s will call me names, tell me that I am blind, yada, yada, yada.

Merry Christmas
It is great to see the spirit of Christmas alive and well in this Great Nation. Thank God for our military that is keeping it alive. My thoughts and prayers are with them.
May God bless you and your family.

How many of those cards had religous, not secular, themes? Contrast that to cards for Hannukah, or Ramadan. Likewise with the symbology used to portray these holidays in the media, on signs, etc.

It probably should be banned since it is insulting to other religous beliefs...lol
