I was just sitting here, scanning the internet and watching Peter Jennings intro his news on ABC. Jennings was trying to intro a segment on President Bush on his ranch commenting on the hunt for Bin Laden. Shockingly, Jennings intro was something like: We now go to comments made by President Clinton on his ranch in Scotland". I couldn't believe my ears. Jennings was taken aback when he realized his mistake and his voice fairly trembled.

Does anyone else think that it's time for Peter Jennings to apply for U.S. citizenship? As of at least a year ago, he was still a Canadian citizen here on a green card.

Since its New Years Eve, its time for my favorite Jennings story. It was very early in the morning on Dec. 31, 1999. It had just turned Jan 1, 2000 in the 1st time zone. Jennings was talking on the phone to the captain of a U.S. Navy vessel that had just crossed the international date line.
Jennings said, and I quote, "Captain, you have just sailed into the 21st century. Tell me, what did you see when you came up on deck.?"
Talk about your stupid questions. The international date line runs exclusively through water.

FOCLMAO! Bet nothing will be said about it. But let a conservative say, "Bernie Fag," and the whole world is on the brink of collapse. Damn, that's funny.

Maybe Jennings mentioned Scotland, since their system of laws is so much more advanced than our own (citing Arlen Specter and his impeachment vote as an example).
Here's hoping Jennings, after putting his foot in his mouth, shoots off his mouth, and thereby shoots himself in the foot.

>>>We now go to comments made by President Clinton on his ranch in Scotland".Never attribute to stupidity what can be explained by mere conspiracy. It could have been a signal.
