Sen. John Edwards blames President George Bush for the net loss of almost 2.7 million jobs during his tenure in the White House. Politicians properly can be challenged about whatever happens "on their watch." They can be asked what they might have done that contributed to loss of jobs -- and what they failed to do that might have stopped the economic hemorrhaging. The Boston Globe reported that 2004 Democratic Presidential candidate and Former Governor Harold Dean of Vermont did not serve in the military because he recieved a medical deferment for an unfused verterbra in his neck.Several articles in the last year have noted that after his deferment, Dean spent some 80 days skiing in Aspen, Colorado.(Boston Globe Newspapers)
